I'm a very poor person so I'm forced to stick with my deadbolt frame lol. I been slowly working on it for about a year and and I am actually happy about it now. Sure some of these kits look cool but boy does my deadbolt perform. I think through trial-and-error I have found the perfect deadbolt setup. So I'm glad you test these things out so I don't have to. 😀

Absolutely! But I think it was more so his build then the chassis but the chassis also lacks in ground clearance.

Much appreciate the time and effort in each review.. that said, as tested, awful. Swap some treal links with +12mm in rear to shorten it up, and swap some 59mm oil shocks to utilize those high arch shock mount points. Big tires only need apply. IMO.

Flip the rear links to high clearance maybe might give u enough space to clear things a little bit better

I really wish they would made side skids for battery and electronics. These skinny and tall aftermarket chassis on the 1/24-1/18 all seem odd when compared to 1/10

I find this an interesting choice given the lemur coming out. It took a grinder, overdrive, and under drive to make my stretched fcx turn. I am moving away from the double barrel shocks and crazy flex though. The FX118 I just got it proving to me you dont need all the bench flex to perform. Thanks for the effort that goes into your content.

Patiently waiting for an scx24 power wagon build
@ejg406910 ай бұрын
Personally an FCX fan. But if you were to run the stock SCX body, there's not a whole lot that could he done as far as I'm aware. Stretching it would prove difficult since the wheel arches can't be relocated reasonably. All I would really think to do is a brushless kit, brass housings, aftermarket linkage, then possibly a new wheel+tire combo. But even those are pretty good out of the box (so I hear). Let me know if you'd have a different idea! :)

Thank you for the great video! I have a dark knight chassis on the way and can’t wait to build it. I am curious about a light bar for this chassis. Is there a place to mount one? Do you have one you recommend?
@CapeCrawlers10 ай бұрын
I wonder if you could get a light bar on the roof. If the mount was the right width I think it could work. Check out Injoras light bars. I’ve had good luck with them

Me and the Ole lady got scx24 deadbolts 1 in red (mine) and one in green (hers) the friendly competition is to keep stock wheels and tires and motor but you can modify anything else would love to see what you could do under the same rules

It’s a cool kit but I’m gonna say no on it, just because watching you crawl with it, it just seems to struggle on everything.

Hard to judge how the chassis kit would perform with a more standard donor model. It looks cool aesthetically though. Needs a Batman logo!

flip your rear lower links and rotate them also so they curve upwards and not down
@DanPRC10 ай бұрын
Naw dude. This is a miss. Not a great chassis design and that build may be hurting on performance as well. You do admit the cons but you still try to make it sound great. That can be confusing to the newer folks in the hobby.

I always try to remember the diversity in the hobby. My opinion is just my own. There are so many people out there who have different tastes and interests. For them it could be great. You never know who’s watching.

Great overview as usual Adam! Im not loving the look of this chassis at all, and the set-up as tested didn't really showcase any performance benefits you might get from stock swapping the fcx24 to this chassis. I wonder what would happen if you just swapped a stock truck to this chassis?
@jameswatt526110 ай бұрын
Have a question: dose the furitek venom motor fit the scx24 transmission? If so it would work out a lot more cost efficient to buy a donor fx118 and use all the electrics, shocks etc to make a custom upgraded scx24 rock buggy build.
@ejg406910 ай бұрын
Still a biggg fan of the Power Wagon. But! I think this thing would be a comp killer if you got those Power Hobby 58mm shocks, but only in the rear. Im running those on mine in the rear and it really helps keep at least 3 wheels planted at all times. Also, flipping thise rear links have helped me a ton. Using metal driveshafts, i can tip the rig to one side or the other to gain more wheel-to-ground action too. Love this rig though!
@nunocarneiro46410 ай бұрын
You already had the joker now you got the black knight 😂 Why don't you use the battery hanging on the underside of the back with the strap ? That one actually doesn't look all bad and looks really good combined with those links Also Phillips screws should be universally forbidden in rcs 😂 I would get some springs for the front shocks to lift that belly a bit ,i think it will make no difference in the climbing performance and very little on side hilling

I only lost it because it’s running the brushless system and I don’t have the proper channel setup on my radio. Plus it’s way fast enough in low speed with the brushless motor
