Nez0's Bad Shoppe @ Strickly Sidewayz: Bingo Wasp Conversion Kit for RMX Shakedown Spicy

Ok so0o0o I call this shakedown "spicy" because I swapped the electronics from the stock RTR equipment to my more favourite higher end items. I will list them below for you :) The main goal was to push the factory RTR tuning and the Bingo Wasp RMX chassis conversion kit hard and really see the maximum performance gain from the chassis swap and better electronics equipment. The results are very nice! :D I also sent this machine around track before filming to see how it holds up in tandems and trains and in this current state it runs very good, had much fun and a smile on my face :D Shoutout to Rudy of Bingo RC Designs for sending the Bingo Wasp RMX Conversion Kit in for testing and review! I just recently picked up the 2.5 and took it out to Vertex, a lot of fun but I realized that in order to keep up with other drivers, the stock 2.5 parts are underpowered, I’m thinking going this route, thanks for sharing

Yiss electronics upgrading will make your drifting session much more spicy but also give you much more control and precision :D

Hi Nez0, thanks for great videos man. I've got a dilemma as a "beginner", I drift normal cars and in 2015 i've enjoyed few days with a basic Yoko, well set up Mst and top of the range Yoko at SuperG and loved the Mst but never pulled the trigger. I've just got an 2nd hand carbon Rmx 2.0s (with 2.5 gearbox and aluminium front YR arms+knuckles, Mst supersoft spring kit, turnuckles) I could walk away from the deal and get an RD2.0 instead(similar money). Would you recommend the change? I run on (slightly ruff)polished concrete in my workshop but planning on visiting some tracks every so often. Not planning any competitions but do want to be able to develop something capable and easy to enjoy. Thanks for advice, BTW breakdown of the chassis/build is on my channel

Hello :) Thank you for watching! Well, I love my MSTs and the RMX line up, so much so I have a KMW in my fleet. However MST's recent ways have led me and many others to pretty much give up on the cars as they get discontinued way too quickly and parts support is brutal all around for any of their platforms globally. What usually happens is people move on from MSTs pretty quickly and go Yokomo or Reve-D for example. In this case I would recommend going for the RD 2.0 for many reasons: a huge back catalogue of parts from manufacturer and aftermarket, will be supported for longer down the road and you'll have more happy drifting laps now vs tuning or waiting for parts with any current MST :) I'll try to check you the build soon!

I have everything you recommend for this 2.5 RTR, except using the Reve D ESC and 10.5 motor. You’re absolutely correct the Bingo Wasp can handle all the boost, unfortunately the rear transmission went out, I don’t they can handle the boost/turbo upgrade. Would you have a complete or upgrade transmission for sale?

Ok my mistake, the gear box it’s fine, it was the ESC wire not plugged in all the way 😂

Do you sell the fan mount like what you are using on this 2.5?

Apologies for the delay...the fan is double side taped to the receiver about the fan.

Just a quick question regarding boost and older chassis. I'm still using the eagle racing ta05 rwd v7.......do you think the belt and such can handle the power the boost puts out?

Just make sure the boost and turbo and braking are not set too high or you will kill the belt over time. If it is a reinforced belt like a Bando style belt it might last longer.

That fan above the motor, how do you mount that?
