You probably already have been told to follow his journey if you haven't already started....it's a must.

The two videos that you have reacted to so far are about the most a-typical NF songs/videos. Alot of his music is extremely emotional and deals a lot with his mental health. The entire Hope album is a culmination of his mental health journey. His prior album was titled The Search. He was searching for Hope, and he finally found it. There is an entire NF journey and all of his albums are interconnected, but if you don't want to do the full journey I recommend listening to Mansion (to get an idea of where his music started) and then skiping ahead to The Search and Leave Me Alone. Watch those two in order back to back. Finally, How Could You Leave Us and Mama kinda round out the NF story.

You will be adding many tracks of NF to your workout playlist. When the last beat drops in this song, it's like nitrous for my legs. No matter how tired I am, when that part plays, I go berserk.

Not very familiar with NF but when Ren was asked if he liked NF he said he loved this track. He did go to an NF concert in Calgary.. Would love to hear what they could come up with together. He does have powerful cinematic videos.

He has great hype songs if that's your thing. Some of his best hype songs are 'real', one hundred, no excuses, Clouds, layers, Let em pray, trust, careful, pandemonium.

Thanks for being real, it's not surprising that you couldn't track the lyrics very well on the first listen. There's SO MUCH going on visually and musically! It will help you a lot if you go back to the beginning so you have some context. One example, he ends this song with "they know where my head is" and you DON'T know unless you're familiar with his song "Outcast". So my two cents would be to start with his Mansion album and listen to (minimum) Mansion, Paralyzed and Can You Hold Me. Then keep going through albums Therapy Session, Perception, The Search.

This was his intro to his “mixtape” which was to hold us over till his album was released. Not as much of a story as saying, I’ve been gone for a while, but more is coming and it’s going to be great.

Yep and this came out just after the pandemic shutdown period, which he mentions in the song "your year really sucked?"

You should absolutely watch The Search if you liked Hi Ren. It came out before, leading Ren to be directly inspired to write Hi Ren.

Great reaction man. I’m sure you know now but this was just him talking his ish. No story really, just hyping himself up. Since your into cinematography you may be interested to know that the end scene was shot without any special effects. They had Nate walking towards the cars with a camera man walking backwards and someone guiding him. There a video of it if you search KZbin.

I enjoy your reactions. NF has a great catalog. Some of his beat songs don't have a video. Try 'just like you', story, lost, that's a joke, paid my dues, drifting Time, mistake, Running, happy, when I grow up, leave me alone, my stress, Hate Myself, let you down, Real, how could you leave us, mansion, pandemonium. These are good to start with.

Not sure how you don't get the story he's telling. I guess if it is legit your first time hearing it and you're trying to take in the video aspect and the lyrics, but the lyrics are pretty straight forward
