I just received my stamp and picked up my Obsidian 45 last weekend. It works perfectly. I used it on my Scorpion EVO3 pistol with Rugged’s fixed barrel spacer and the 9mm end cap. My neighbor thought I was shooting a pellet gun. That right there tells you how well it works. The suppression with subsonic ammunition is just simply amazing. Now, for Rugged’s customer service. They are also amazing. I had seen that on other reviews, which is part of the reason why I went with the Obsidian 45. My first time using it, a bullet barely struck the 9mm end cap. It did not damage the baffles or the tube. I believe it was my fault, as the cap that tightens the piston into the suppressor was not completely tightened down. I discovered that it stuck a little on the piston, so although I thought it was tightened, it had a little to go. That slight play resulted in the bullet striking the end cap. After contacting Rugged, they sent me a new end cap, spring, and piston cap (the one that was sticking on the piston) free of charge within two days. Bottom line, their customer service is amazing and they stand behind their products. 5 stars all of the way around. For the product and the quality.

thanks for including 45, 9mm, and 22 pistol and rifle in this video. Really helps get an idea how it sounds across all the typical platforms. After 5 months I just picked up AAC TiRant, but these new products from Rugged, Sig, and DA would have made it a difficult choice a few months ago. Hopefully more mount options in future for these new Cans

CAN confirm. Still rated quietest 45 supp. Came here to see if he could give me some pointers on taking it apart. Very stiff before first use. Can't get some of the baffles apart. Operator manual says use hex key but the thought of marring something I waited waaaay too long to take home, has me hesitant...and he didn't break it apart on camera...probably because he struggled too. Edit: I used the end of a hard plastic kitchen stirring spoon and a rubber mallet for the really difficult ones.

Rugged by far has one of the best customer service. Own a obsidian 45 and got an end cap strike on my last visit to the range and they sent me a replacement within a few days. I shot my Staccato P in K config with Win 147 JHP. It was very quiet, and so much nicer to shoot than with my Glocks. It is full in full config, but so much more enjoyable in K, and still VERY effective. I have to admit it is fiddly to reassemble.

I’m still looking for a .45 silencer I have the rugged obsidian 9 on efile with an Erector 9 as well but what would be the quietest can on a 1911, HK45C and MK23 rugged obsidian 45? I know it’s an older video but I’m still rocking my TiRant 9 & 45 so it must be quieter than those or have a better tone which the Tirant was hard to beat for years and a lot of people still can’t do it. This is a sincere question so no sarcasm please and thanks in advance to anyone who will help

I have a TiRant too. The TiRant has a piston that is 2x the size and weight. And, the baffles are not all coated, some are bare T6-6061 aluminum, and only one is stainless steel. The Obsidian M, and Dead Air Ghost M are similar to TiRant, but improved. The real shocker is the new Sig 45 can. Low price, comes with two pistons, and more compact design. Not modular though.

I’ve never seen actual numbers but it roughly takes off about 2-4 dbs from the noise level.

It’s like Russian Roulette. I like to buy and forget but that get harder after the first can is in your hands.

If you’re finding it hard to pull the trigger on one, I think it’s x10 the fun. I told myself I’d just get a pistol can and a rifle can. Now I’m waiting on my 2nd rifle and my 2nd pistol can. It’s addictive. You will ask yourself why did I wait so long?

ATTN: KZbin IS SHUTTING DOWN ALL GUN CHANNELS! I have moved over to Rumble. Others are leaving KZbin in droves as well. All my NEW content is being posted on Rumble and all my old content is being sync'd by Rumble and stored on their servers for preservation. My channel is easy to find, just search for "NFA Review" in the search bar and you can find me and subscribe! KZbin has given me 2 strikes so far on videos that weren't out during their new policy change. In addition they are deleting 5-6 videos of mine a week! They are doing the same to other Gun Channels and even the manufacturers that have channels. It's time we take our viewership over to Rumble! No more scrolling and watching non gun related content while we are logged in, no more fresh content, no more support. They don't want us here and Rumble has extended open arms to us and other free thinkers who aren't afraid to call BS on how far society has fallen! I've run this channel professionally for 12+ years, logged 60+ Million views, 10+ years of public shooting events, and hopefully provided insight and detailed information to our community helping everyone make informed decisions on hard to purchase items. I TRULY and whole-heartedly appreciate all of you. It's surreal that all my blood, sweat, and tears are about to be "digitally book burned" by KZbin but Rumble has cast a lifeline to free speech and the rights of everyone to learn about firearms and suppressor ownership! To my awesome Patreon Members and my subscribers here, thank you! We are beginning a new chapter, ushering in a new fight and WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT. See ya on Rumble! - Adam
