Great video! Really interesting research. Personally I've moved away from eating gluten-free oats, except on rare occasions. On the whole I don't trust that oats are safe - I'd like to see what the effect on the CD8 and IL2 cells are first. Super to hear about the 'gluten challenge in the test tube' - I've always thought it was crazy that people have to re-introduce gluten in order to get tested and I chose not to get a biopsy for this reason. I'd love to hear more about the relationship between Fructans and Coeliac disease - it's something I've looked into in the past, however I couldn't find any information on them being related. In my family both my mother and sister who do not have Coeliac disease have issues with garlic and onions which are sulphur foods, oligosaccharides and fructans. Oligosaccharides are sugars with a complex molecular structure which the body finds difficult to break down. I rarely eat these foods and have been low lactose for many years. I tend not to have gut related Coeliac symptoms and I think it could be for this reason. Would be great to have a video specifically on the topic of how other foods can interact with the gut and impact on the Coeliac symptoms.

I tried introducing purity oats here in Canada 7 months ago . Around that time I triggered my DH and have been flaring since. I can’t say for sure that it was the Oats but this is only the 2nd major DH I have had in 8 years since my Celiac diagnosis. I assume that minor contaminations which of course happens routinely is not enough to cause this severe of a flare. I either ate something with a good amount of gluten or my body reacted to the Oats. Perhaps a study on Oats with people who have DH would help to shed some light. The good thing about DH is that it can’t be confused for something else. It’s very conclusive and easy to biopsy.

The only gluten free products that I consume every other and then, are made from corn or rice. I have noticed that soya and oats either triggered my ibs/gastroparesis flare up with severe bloating and really bad smell farts. Thank you for the video
