I have to respectfully disagree. College football is fine but unless you play in a big conference, you have no chance of winning the National championship because the playoff is a joke. It is a popularity contest largely and I have always thought winning a National championship in college football is about the equivalent of winning a WWE title. I don't need coaches or a computer telling me who the best teams are, just my two cents. It also seems like the wide receivers are always open, the kicking is atrocious, and stopping the clock to reset the ball after a first down makes it unwatchable for me. Spurrier is a legend no doubt and a great speech and I am not saying college football isn't a good game. It is but definitely not my favorite, not by a long shot.

bthere100 It seems that even a CUSA or MWC team could consistently beat ranked teams from the Big 5, say maybe 4 or 5 in a row, and make it into the CFP. It is a popularity contest, winning makes a team popular. It's the purest meritocracy a group of educated humans are capable of, but I find it entertaining. But hey, to each his own.
