I agree that statistically better. A metric that is missing that I think would help, not remedy, would be relative to contemporaries to Help account for rules, and paying styles. I still think Purdy would excel but it would help against the argument of stacked rosters, rules and NFL playing fads. Just a thought..

One thing that really bothers me is that there players in the NFL who clearly demonstrate that they have no problem with trying to intentionally injure key players. Look at the Cleveland game last year when key 49ers were injured or the Eagles game when Purdy was injured - in that game someone took a cheap shot at Bosa's knee.

@@justinah7400 Right! And yeah, that really bugs me. When they have clear video proof that someone has delivered a cheap shot away from the play or after the play, I think they should give out penalties/fines a day or two or three after the game.

Been wondering what your opinion is on this. NFL will be appealing it all the to the supreme court if they can. Mike knows his stuff. He is a good analysis now, but until 15 years ago, he was a practicing attorney. As a misplaced Faithful, I'm VERY happy about this as I could not afford "ticket" & didn't get to watch my Miners til playoffs bc raiders didn't make it. I am an attorney, but not a specialist in anti-trust. I wonder whether the 4.1 billion already includes the "treble" or whether it is the "actual" damages (which would mean pre-treble). ("Treble" is legalese for "tripled". Yes, lawyers are a weird bunch.
