Motorcycle helmets use hard styrofoam and soft foams and save lives at highway speeds, impacting concrete and metal. This is the NFL protecting their sponsors. Every football player should be switched over to Vicis Zero2 or Xenith Shadow XR helmets by now but I only see Riddell Speedflex. And yet there are still a lot of concussions / long term brain injury in the NFL...

I wore one before , they are extremely light and feel a little weird, but I took some nasty hits and can say it feels a lot better than revo and other helmets

Well I mean, anything has more padding than a revolution😭 revolutions are concussion buckets. We use speeds and the padding is so thick but it feels perfect.

Foam against the shell for a football helmet? Our kids just got the last year (5) out of their Xeniths. They held up great. For the money and safety design, I believe they are the best. They are on the top of the NFL list and the Virginia Tech testing.

You can't say that these are safe just because an insanely small number of people wear them. The sample size is far too small to definitively say these have a smaller percentage of concussions compared to other helmets. Helmets by Riddell and Schutt are in almost every single football locker room in the country, to say that a company who only did 2,900 in sales is safter because they had a smaller number of concussions and concussion percentage is absurd and any reasonable person would understand that. If I sell 1 helmet and the person wearing it never gets a concussion, I have a 0% concussion percentage. Let's not even forget that the majority of concussions likely don't get reported to the manufacturer.

Racing and dirt bike helmets are a different type technology that’s why they are banned but it doesn’t mean that SG makes bad helmets maybe football helmets are not their gig (P.S. I wear a SG dirt bike helmet they are great)

Certain people are pocketing money in the NFL for buying from the two major brands helmets and everyone knows it so no Outsiders that could become serious contenders are ever going to get their helmets in the game. The only reason zenith has made it to the NFL is a brokered deal between someone who is part owner in the company who is friends with an NFL executive who we won't name here. It's like any other business, shady shit goes on all the time
