I can't remember ever seeing a hit take out two players, but that hit by Steve Atwater during the Elway vs Favre Super Bowl at 4:06 took out THREE players: the receiver, the cornerback, and himself. Also, at 6:00 "The Cube" is Gerald "Ice Cube" Mcneil who was listed at 5'7" 145 pounds, although he said he usually came in at 140 pounds and ended the season between 125 - 130 pounds.

You should absolutely not put your kid in football, depending on his position he's getting concussed at least once a week at practice. Get him in the gym and have him play other sports that don't involve bouncing your brain off of the inside of your skull. Think about his future.

I know a lot of people will go the opposite direction with this, but personally what I like about this video is that it shows that big hits don't have to involve hits to or with the head. I hope the refs continue to get better at differentiating a big shoulder hit vs a head shot, and that big hits can stay a part of the game without resulting in half the league getting CTE

Great compilation. This really shows the contrasts between what we used to call "spearing": leading with the head and launching, sometimes leaving your feet, with a shoulder lead solid hit. Also the difference between "defenseless" player and those that are starting to/ or running and can see the tackler and protect themselves. A good comparison no matter what you think of the current rule situation. Sometimes the official will call a foul based on the violence of the hit rather than the specific rule statement. Not trying to trash the officials because it is a judgement based on a small fraction of a second high speed impact from a perspective that does not benefit from multiple angles like the camera coverage. Thanks for posting.
