As a Broncos fan, I am still mad about that game. So I have a lot to say, here. That was PI at the end. I'm not saying that the second try would've been successful, I'm just saying they should've had a second try. Now, the refs were not the reason we lost. There were missed calls against us, but we really had no business losing after taking a 21-3 lead. We shouldn't have let it get to that point to where we needed a hail mary. The refs missed a facemask on Washington when we were up 21-3, and the wheels fell off after that. Russ should've fallen on that ball even if he felt he was down. I'm mad at my team for falling apart after a phenomenal first quarter and a half.
@Zortbrain8 ай бұрын
As a Washington fan, I agree that your team should've gotten a second attempt on the 2 point try at the end of the game. I'll also say this, refs have been fucking up when it comes to not calling face masking penalties going into a second straight season and that's worrying, and disturbing. My worry is, the refs are going to not call a face masking penalty and it's going to lead to a player getting seriously injured because of it

@Zortbrain8 ай бұрын
@@BroncoJosh Oh I know. I'm not taking anything away from Washington battling back from being down 21 to 3. I don't think it was so much just the Broncos getting too comfortable with that lead, but it was also that one turnover that gave Washington the spark they needed to comeback. I'll also say that for most of the first quarter, Washington's offense looked good, but they had that missed field goal on the opening drive and then their next drive they were moving it down the field again only to stall out and settle for a made field goal.

Nobody will be happy with the refs calls late in a game. Bradberry gets called for a hold late in the Super Bowl but nobody wanted it to be called. Now this season refs are letting them play late in the game but everyone hates that they aren’t calling these penalties. Where is our middle ground?
@DaejinTye8 ай бұрын
SOMEONE is going to bitch no matter what. However, there is a clear goal to strive for here: Call penalties that effect the play or are clear violations. Do not call penalties that have no impact or don't clearly violate the rules. It's never going to be perfect. Not even close, so the best alternative is to allow teams to challenge penalties the same way they can challenge plays. With the current rules for challenging, that would be AT MOST 6 challenges more per game. It also gives the refs a little leeway in "letting them play" late in games or to hold a flag on something they're not sure they saw. Simply allowing the challenging of a penalty would've eliminated most of the calls on in this video, without drastically altering the rulebook or the games themselves.

That's essentially it. NFL want high scoring games, not low scoring defensive showdowns like 15+ years ago. I remember watching a handful of games that ended 3-0. Now every game shas to have 20+ points per side.

Not puting the hold on Sweat that lead to a wide open TD for the Vikings is odd.

What about the Pats Henry TD? Blocking down field then turning to make a catch.

The Lions game was something else. Even though the Seahawks got that one call for intentional grounding which was stupid; the rest of that game was all penalties on the Lions.

1:50 ok I need help on this one. He was trying to block but put his hands on and held when he just needed to use his body to block?

As a Browns fan, I'm still angry about Cooper being clearly in bounds right in front of the ref. Sure, maybe he wouldn't have gotten a touchdown, but he would've gotten like 10 more yards off the play.

the bewford raiders play was called clean actually. started contact when ball came in receiver chose to get close to the sideline. You can push them out as long as youre not early

The Quentin Nelson call was correct. The movement didn't make him move. He moved on his own. This is how the rule should be applied.

If New York is watch why don’t they just call the penalties!

It just gets worse every year because there is no accountability. All Roger Goodell cares about is money. It’s greed all the way down. The only way to stop it at this point is to boycott the NFL. Really hoping one day someone with a huge audience organizes a 1 week boycott of the entire NFL, somewhere around Week 3 or 4. Nobody goes to a game, nobody watches a game, nobody interacts with any NFL related media for 1 week. Then those greedy mofos will finally fix the problem.
