I was 18 years old and at this game. So much promise that wasn't delivered this season.

I was almost 18 (would be on October 10), an this was my first NFL game. I was so excited with the shutout..Definitely a lot of promise. I remember a "We want Dallas" chant at the end of the game....I didn't hear it but I did see they showed a sign with it.

Elway took a lot of beat downs in the orange crush unis... Man did the NFC kick his ass back then. 39-20 Vagiants, 42-10 Deadskins (again 34-3 the same season as this Eagles beating) and that epic annihilation issued by SF 55-10!

But when you gave Elway the supporting cast in his later years, he pretty much plungered all these teams. See the 1998 beat down of th Eagles where the Broncos felt sorry they benched their players at the half

@@daved1535 Never said they weren’t. Just saying the Eagles as a team were better than the Broncos as a team in the 80s. Once Elway got the better teams, he destroyed all those NFC teams. The Broncos defense was way too soft most of Elway career and somehow he gets blamed for everything.

Favre made enough money to eventually get all of his rotted green plaqued up teeth replaced with implants, after the braces made them worse. Look at some of his pics when he played in ATL and early years in GBY I remember guys like that when I was in the Army... didn't know what a toothbrush was for.
