NFL PLAY 60 | CPR/AED Awareness Week (2024)

‪@American_Heart‬ and the ‪@NFL‬ are teaming up for CPR/AED Awareness Week!
The knowledge of how to perform CPR and use an AED does not have to be limited to adults. Kids as young as four can be a part of the chain of survival by calling 911 if they see someone collapse.
Kindergarten-age children can follow instructions from an automated external defibrillator, which can shock a heart back to its proper rhythm.
By the time children are 10, 11, or 12, they might possess enough body strength to deliver compressions at the right depth and rate.
With around 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happening at home, children can be an integral part of the saving someone’s life.
Teaming up through the Nation of Lifesavers initiative, the AHA and NFL are committed to educating people of all ages about this lifesaving skill.
