Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, and Robin Roberts host a special Christmas ESPN NFL Primetime, as the New England Patriots make it into the playoffs, as does Joe Montana and the Kansas City Chiefs, the New York Giants upset the resting Dallas Cowboys, the Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers destroy the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the San Diego Chargers earn a bye week by barely edging the Pittsburgh Steelers in one of the most entertaining games of the year.

Both Mike Kenn & Tim Krumrie playing their last game: Kenn played stellar ball while suffering with mostly dull or bad Falcons teams (with the exception of 1978, 1980, 1982, and especially the fun 1991 team), while Krumrie played pursuit defensive tackle like a champ, always compiling a ton of tackles and managing to overcome a severe leg injury in Super Bowl 23. Just two guys that always came to play; total pros.

The 8-minute mark commercial show the commercial for Madden 95 I remember here in Buffalo how sought-after that game was for Christmas you weren't sure enough copies where made I remember they were hard to get this was all I wanted for Christmas. I remember we were able to get it a week after Christmas when the store here called media play had more in stock. Nowadays you find these Madden 95 for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis in totes at flea markets garage sales for like $0.75 boy oh boy times have changed and how fast time will fly by. I remember waiting outside Blockbuster videos Dropbox bothering the employees every time somebody returned something to see if anybody returned a copy of Madden 95

I was 17 years old as a Colts fan in 1994. Who knew the same number Browning Nagle wore in this game playing for Indy would soon be worn by the greatest Colt of all time. And who knew the quarterback on the other team would someday be coaching for the Colts? Crazy world we live in.

Christmas Eve and i was 12 years old in 1994! As a result, I remember this weekend very well! The Eagle's collapse to close out 1994 was epic. Game wise, the fact the Steelers and Charges played a down to the wire game at the end of the regular season never dawned on me. People should have taken more notice leading into the AFC Title game. Also, who would have guessed this would be Sterling Sharpe's final game?!? That dude was a baller! This was also the beginning of "Bowl Saturation" thanks to ESPN. "Thrifty Car Rental Bowl Week" quickly turned into "Participation Award Bowl Month"....

Its crazy Sharpe has been out this long. My brother was a cowgirls fan, I was a 49ers fan and my sister was a packers fan. Needless to say me and my sister ganged up on my brother but I hated the packers when they weren't playing Dallas. Great childhood.

6:30 A great coach Kotite is? He was a lousy head coach. He just won with alot of Buddy Ryan's talent. He drafted poorly after those players left and was a lousy in game coach with tons of bad in game decisions like forced timeouts and lack of discipline. What a horrible coach Kotite was. Thank God he was fired after that game. Best Christmas gift we got.

Has any division ever got 4 teams in the playoffs like the NFC Central did that year? And how did they all get the tiebreaker over the Giants, that had the same record?
@donaldtNS
@donaldtNS 2 ай бұрын
All ties are broken within the division first: Green Bay was 3-1 in games against Detroit and Chicago (Detroit 2-2, Chicago 1-3). The Packers/Giants tiebreaker was record in NFC games, and the Packers were 8-4 versus the Giants being 6-6. So they're the 4. Detroit and Chicago split their games, so the next tiebreaker is record against the division. Detroit had a better record against the Norris (4-4 versus 3-5 for Chicago) and beat the Giants head-to-head, so they're the 5. Chicago and the Giants went down to the "record against common opponents" tiebreaker with Chicago being 4-4 in those games and the Giants being 3-5. So the Bears get the last NFC spot and the Giants are out.
