What a 4 year run for Peyton in Denver Two Super Bowl appearances, a MVP, 4 division titles, and retired a Super Bowl champion

After Peyton retired, it’s no coincidence that Brady became Thanos and started winning a lot more. Manning near the end of his career held Tom Brady in check. The only two quarterbacks who belong in the same sentence with one another. Truly the Goats of the sport.

Even tho he only had 2 championships he's still considered the greatest next or at least third to Tom Brady

I think if it wasn’t for his neck surgery and injuries he dealt with his final two years in Denver he probably could still be playing and at a high level like Brady and Drew Brees. 2014 he began playing at a high level went into Seattle and brought us back in the final moments to force OT. He got beat up against the Rams that season at the midway point, tore his quad muscle. Fox didn’t have the balls to sit him for a couple weeks to let him get healthy he was ineffective because of that injury against the Colts in the Divisional round. 2015 he was dealing with his foot combined with a poor OLine trying to get comfortable in Kubiaks offense, again he got beat up tore his plantar ligament. Kubiak unlike Fox had the balls to bench Manning let him get healthy. He came back played good in the divisional round and made some vintage throws in the AFC championship game, struggled in the Super Bowl but did just enough and let Von Miller and our defense dominate. I truly think if you take those injuries away he could have lasted longer.

Everybody is entitled to they’re own opinion, Manning was phenomenal for the most part the injuries slowed it down a bit, he’s not the Goat he’s great but just anyway you wanna go about it if he wins either the Saints or Seahawks Super Bowl then we’d have a legit convo here but no Top 5 for sure tho

Start of a beautiful relationship..though there were bumps along the way. 2012 would end in a heartbreaking way.But comeback player of the year,a 5th MVP,& best qb season ever-statistically.2nd for another MVP. Then as a team-only team to ever score 600+ pts in a season, still to this day,4 AFC West titles,12 or 13 wins,& top 2 seed all 4 yrs,2 SBs,& 1 title. Beating Brady in 2 AFC title games to get there. As a Bronco fan, I expected a lot, but he delivered even more, albeit more cuz of a top10 Alltime defense in 2015.

I don't care if Brady wins 13 rings and throws for 200,000 yards in his career - Peyton Manning is the greatest QB to ever play. And he didn't need a WWE style fixed narrative to get his "goat ritual" story booked for him like Tom gets. ON TOPIC: It had to be surreal for the Denver fans to be rooting FOR Manning for the first time. First game back from the injury, in a new city on a new team with a new system. Yet once he went into his no-huddle mode, he's doing the amazing things no one else does, and the crowd fell in love with him. They knew they were in good hands as long as he was there, and you could hear him winning them over as he began slicing the Pittsburgh defense apart.
@pwells103 жыл бұрын
it's still surreal to me to this day. I can't believe the Colts were so stupid.

G'damn Robert Irsay for ever letting Manning go. Was I Irsay, Peyton (if he chose) would be (or would've been) in the same place that Elway is with the Broncos. Or he could've been my offensive or head coach as long as he wanted.

Wow! Just short of 50K Views. The tenth anniversary of the is this year 9/9/2022. Maybe one day, I'll start working on digitizing old VHS tapes I still have :) Something I'd always been meaning to mention -- The previous Broncos Steelers game was where Tebow makes this pass to (RIP) Demaryius Thomas to end their season. So, Steelers had extra incentive for this game.

Wow I’d love to see this. Trips down memory lane for sure.
These receivers have to get used to catching and holding a ball that has been thrown to them precisely and very hard. When this team gets used to having Peyton Manning be play calling coach on the line, they will win every time.
