@@Dr-puppenstein: Ten 1,000 yard seasons is hardly mediocre. Also, look at who's been throwing to him. Winston, Glennon, McCown, Fitzpatrick, Mayfield, and Brady. That's a lot of QBs to mesh with...and only **one** of those guys is a HoF-caliber signal caller. What sets apart a great receiver from a good one is the level of play from their position despite who's throwing the ball. If you don't think Evans is at minimum better than your average WR, you're smoking some serious Pineapple Express. And I say all that as an unbiased Pittsburgh fan who couldn't care less about Tampa's success.
@Mr_Mcfeely
@Mr_Mcfeely Жыл бұрын
@@Dr-puppenstein Mike Evans is the sole reason Jonny Manziel ever got drafted. Then he stepped into the NFL and continued to make our Scrub QB situations better than they were. He's posted more than 1,100 yards five of the 10 years and has also topped the 1,500 yard mark in a season, four seasons with 12 or more TDs. I'm actually baffled by the casual @ss remark that he's never been a top WR in the league 🤣🤣 he'll finish his career with more than 100 TDs and 12,000 yards easily. Might wanna check the hall before you say those stats don't get you in lol

Maybe the best Overreaction Monday I've seen. Fun discussions. Loved "Bambi with fangs!" and the non-overreaction about the 49ers being the #1 NFC seed. Next week the Cowboys will beat the beat up Eagles and the Lions will beat the Bears, leaving all 4 top NFC teams at 10-3, with the 49ers taking the #1 seed due to tie-breakers over the Cowboys and Eagles due to (blowout) wins and over the Lions due to 49ers having less conference losses. Love how my team not only reset the playoff picture but also the MVP discussion with Brock finally getting recognized. He is #1 for practically ALL the 2023 QB stats (QBR, Passer Rating, Passing Efficiency with all 3 advanced metrics - DVOA, ANY/A, ETA/P, as well as Cmpl% and overall Yds/A. And he's done this with the only team in the league that runs more than passes (having less passing opportunities), and with an O-line that's ranked #22 in pass protection. Here's a few more impressive Purdy stats/factoids... - He not only leads QB's in overall Yds/Attempt, but at the intermediate range (10-20 yds) he has a phenomenal 13.4? (13.something) Yds/A which is the highest Yds/A for that range in NFL history - for as long as they've been recording that range. And that was at Wk12. I think he improved that in the Eagles game. - His current league-leading 9.59 overall Yds/A record is higher than the following QB's through their 12 games when they won their league MVP awards: 1984 Dan Marino (9.31), 1988 Boomer Esiason (9.37), 2004 Peyton Manning (9.41), 2011 Aaron Rodgers (9.42). - After the Eagles game he broke the 49er franchise history for most consecutive games with 70+% pass completion rate. He broke Joe Montana's 5 and JimmyG's and Steve Young's tie of 4 consecutive 70+ Cmpl% rate. Yes, he broke one of Joe The GOAT's records. - And don't forget, the V in MVP is for VALUABLE. At his rookie $870,000 salary he's not only the least expensive, and thus greatest VALUE, compared to all other QB's in the league, he's probably the least expensive starter at ANY position in the league.(?) He's BY FAR the greatest VALUE in the league from an ROI (return on investment) perspective. I'd love to see a chart comparing all QB's for TD's or Yardage or Yds/A or Cmpl% or Passer Rating or QBR per dollar. How can he NOT be the shoe-in for MVP?? He's has the best QB performance AND the is best QB value. Who comes close - and why? Has any other QB had a perfect 158.3 passer rating game this year? His 148.9 and then 158.3 games broke and set the NFL record for highest Passer Rating for 2 consecutive games. Then he achieved another 148.9 PR after the Eagles game.

To the question about who would you rather play colts/chargers, I'm a chargers fan and the answer is the chargers. Our offense is struggling mightily. Eckler looks banged up, and Keenan Allen is good but I don't know how often you can go to that well. Johnston has been underwhelming too. Our defense is playing better, but I just feel like we can't play a very consistent game on both sides of the ball and we also have terrible coaching. We are averaging 12 points a game over our last three games. I'm not saying the colts are drastically leaps and bounds better, but The chargers have more weaknesses that you can exploit at the present time

29:30 yeah I remember that Browns vs. Packers Christmas game a few years ago, except it was much different than how Rich described. All I remember is that I walked out of the room near the end of the game while my whole extended family was watching, and when my brother asked what I was doing, I said, "I know how this ends, and I don't want to watch Baker ruin my Christmas when he throws another fucking interception." Two plays later... If by "balling out", you mean 21/36 (58.3% completion) for 222 with 2 TDs and 4 INTs, including that game-clinching one late in the game, then yeah, Baker lit it up. Gotta love Rich's selective memory for all things that aren't Jets football 🙄

One scenario was danced around talking about NFC #1 seed... (source ESPN playoff machine) Week 14: Lions win over Bears, Dallas win over Eagles, Seattle (somehow) win over SF... Lions have the #1 seed at the end of week 14. Keeping it is another matter, but as a Lions fan, it's a great thing to see. All assumptions are Lions being seed 2 or 3, which we'd take, but if the 1 seed is within reach, you gotta reach for it.

For GB upsetting someone in the Playoffs, I don't think it comes down to Love. Ironically I think he's been waiting for everyone else to catch up to him, including Lafleur. You know those big bombs they've been opening with in their last two games, those big exciting opening 1 or 2 drives? That's been Love's idea, he's the one that convinced Lafleur to let him start gunning downfield (I guess Lafleur had to go into "Why not, what do we have to lose now?" mentality before he stopped being so damn conservative). Watson, Doubs and Reed have finally started to run the right routes and be more dynamic on catches, and have stopped being so timid and started fighting for catches.

Good overreaction, even if I disagree. With all the talk about Dallas not being able to beat anyone good, I think that makes this game a must watch for anyone who cares about football. But hey, Chiefs Bills is gonna be an awesome game too. No losers in the football audience for sure.

The Ravens definitely won the bye week. Every single division and conference contender except the dolphins lost. Chiefs, jags, Steelers, browns, all L's, and even though the dolphins technically moved to the 1 seed, they have to play the Ravens so the Ravens control their path to the 1 seed

Washington's recievers had no chance. Miami's pass rush was in Howells lap all game. The only real offense they had all day was Howell escaping the pocket and either hitting guys on the sidelines while scrambling or taking the ball himself. I believe Washington may have more problems on the oline than the Jets. They need to get that QB some help before he gets hurt, because he's pretty good.

There will be almost no difference between the 2 and 5 seed in the NFC, both in team quality and playoff positioning. The 2 seed gets the last wild card team and the 5 seed gets the NFC South winner (probably). If the Egales fumble the 1 seed, it doesn't matter if they also fumble the division.

Well except for home-road stuff... Also would likely have to play the 1 seed with a rest advantage in the divisional round as opposed to in the NFC championship game (assuming the 1 seed wins its first game) with equal rest, though the Lions especially could be upset in the first round with how they're playing, which would mean the only difference would be playing on the road in the divisional round against the 2/3.

I’m no Pats fan, but the belichick disrespect is so unfounded and ridiculous. But yes, he should be back and he should lose the GM role. That defense is dominant and ready to win real meaningful games. The offense is truly that awful. He calls a magnificent defensive game. Trash at picking players up.

I’ve been saying for weeks that the Lions weren’t as good as everyone was saying and getting called a hater. When everyone was ranking them top 5 i was saying they were too high. Now people are starting to see. They may get better at defense and make a turn for the better, but this is not a Super Bowl trajectory they’re on.

Watching the Bengals - Jaguars game... The Jets should clean house. Bengals have a Backup QB who threw for what 350 yards and a TD plus ran a TD in... Jets have Rodger's OFF Co who clearly is lacking, a front office who couldn't create a backup plan in case Rodger's got hurt and list goes on coddling a high draft pick QB who clearly is a bust.
