Indeed. In fact, in the last 2 Super Bowl appearances in Brady's career, his defenses only allowed 3 and 9 points respectively, which comes out to 6 points per game. Also Brady is 2-0 in his career when leading his offense to 13 or fewer points in the Superbowl. Every other QB in NFL history to start and finish the Superbowl when leading their offense to 13 or fewer points is 0-25 (Credit to Barry Mccockiner for those stats). Brady's accomplishments are not as impressive when you add context to them

Sour grapes! The 2nd time the Patriots totally grounded a high-scoring Rams offense. McVay never saw it coming. An open mike picked up him saying before the game, "I'm really interest in what their game plan is because I don't think they can stop us." Then Belichick saying half way through the game to his defense, "guys, just relax, we've got this. Just do your job."

Man its so unfortunate that the knee injuries to Cooper Kupp and Gurley deprived us of the opportunity to watch the rams beat the brakes off the Patriots. People forget how dominant Gurley had been up to that point and then he was never the same after. It's crazy how injuries to key players can completely change the trajectory of seasons.

This game wasn’t even that bad. There’s just too many casuals out there that think every game has to be high scoring for it to be good. These two offenses were very good that year, so it wasn’t bad offense as much as it was good defense. If you think SB 48 was better, you’re a straight up casual, and are partially to blame for the NFL constantly changing rules to favor the offense

I totally agree. I think some of the reason for the hate too is the fact that people were still upset over the non-call in the Saints game, and feel like the wrong team was there, as well as the fact that this game was expected to be higher scoring and it didn’t live up to expectations in that aspect. I’d give it a C, C + though. We’ve seen way worse Super Bowls
