There is no way around it. This was one of the worst picks in draft history probably. Rich Eisen has already come out and said he has never seen anything like this in his entire career. Not a great start for this new regime and total waste of resources.

Contract years hardly matter anymore for certain QBs, they can cut bait on Kirk in 2 years and will eat anything no problem.

Another key difference from the Jordan Love selection is that Rodgers had been in Green Bay for over a decade, while Cousins JUST GOT THERE. Terrible move by the Falcons.

The question i ask people is okay so please tell me if the falcons didnt get Penix Jr then who will be the next QB after Kirk Cousins? Because youre expecting Kirk to win games which in terms will put you late in the draft. So please tell me whats the falcons option(s) after kirk. Nobody really thought Penix Jr will be sitting for 4-5 years because Kirk Cousins contract is really a 2 year deal. So by Terry Fontenot saying that we all know he was being "politically correct" not "literally correct"

It’s so funny to hear all these talking heads. Didn’t look at the roster or the plan to switch to a 3-4 defense. A quarterback is going to cost $300,000,000. You want to pick a guy you are comfortable with instead of forcing it.

How things change, Jordan love gets drafted and the entire NFL makes us a laughing stock and immediately call him a bust without seeing him start a game 4 years later Jordan love has replaced Aaron Rodgers as intended and been one of the biggest suprise stars ever and led the team to a blowout upset playoff win Now teams are copying the packers "Jordan Love strategy" Certainly are different situations in multiple ways but still. Hope this works out for you falcons fans its going to be interesting.

The Packers weren’t winning anything outside of the regular season. Jordan Love is a league average quarterback who lost and was outplayed by Desmond Ridder last year. Frankly , if the Packers got Tee Higgins instead with that pick, maybe they would have won something. The Penix pick was awful and built on failed logic.
