Great memories for a 51 yr old guy hearing Pat and John call a 49ers/Cowboys NFC championship game. That 838k dollar bonus for winning the game was a beauty for Jackson. 80's and 90's NFL was great for me as a fan... and many others.

The San Francisco 49ers are why the NFL implemented the salary cap. Eddie DeBartolo Jr is the greatest owner in NFL history. He'd spend more on the 49ers backup players than most teams would on their starters, the league had to curtail this so they introduced the cap in 1994. The last season the greatest dynasty the league has ever known, the San Francisco 49ers reigned as Super Bowl Champions.

Yeah the niners had to cheat the salary cap to get the monkey off their back. That's how they added the pieces to improve the defense & the NFL allowed them to do it because they didn't want the boys to 3peat. The lame NFL waited a couple of seasons later to penalized them after they won the SB

Dallas made some really poor play calling decisions in the first half. With a few better decisions, the score at halftime could have been 24-17, or even 24-20. Instead they found themselves in the hole 31-14.
