I (almost) legitimately feel like Nagy is part of some inside job. The dude wasn’t perfect, but his track record was enough to get him the HC job and he showed plenty of creativity and intuition in the 2018 season. Then in 2019/2020, consecutive bottom 5 offensive seasons going on 3. If anything he should have improved, new weapons and a more acquainted trubisky. He just had the worst coaching performance I think I’ve seen in my time on this earth. This game better have been a brutal lesson, or he needs to be fired

You can't honestly put that performance on fields after watching that. Receivers not open and constant instant pressure from the rush. No QB would succeed. Thankfully not every team will get pressure like the browns. Bears are playing a 3rd string left tackle. Easily the worst oline in the league. Honestly bench fields so he doesn't get hurt and tank the season. The season is lost with that oline. Then draft several oline in the upcoming draft.

Fields miss read two checkdowns with Cole Kemet and a miss read dragon rpo when the flat was open and the slant was late 9.No use of true QB run 10.Too many 5 man protections with long developing routes without play action (Even the great qbs have high play action rate so why not a rookie qb)

Holding on to the ball way to long. Dalton has one of the quickest releases in the NFL. Something you have to have when you don't have a great offensive line. Dalton had to play with the second string line last year with the Cowboys due to injuries and looked respectable. For the Bears fans to think that Fields is just going to jump in there and set the NFL on fire is laughable. Fields will have his time but Dalton is the better QB right now.

Field also drops too far so the edge rusher can just run around the tackle. It isn't all the line and it isn't all Naggy. Dalton didn't have as much problem as Fields. The problem is, if you have to simplify the offense for the QB, it simplifies it for the D too.

The farthest ball he threw was when that announcer said he "sails it a mile high" at 1:26. Sometimes coaching is to blame. That's where SOME should be placed. But sometimes QBs, because of their perceived potential and athletic ability (but lack of ability to make throws downfield) actually end up getting coordinators and coaches fired. They have no awareness, don't check down, and/or they just can't make the reads and throws necessary to become a quality QB. Then the coordinator or coach gets fired for picking the kid so early if they weren't fired already. It has been only 1 start, but picking PS2 and passing on Jamarcus Russell 2.0 may just be the best pick of the draft.

I don’t get everyone blaming Matt I get it he’s not the greatest head coach but I think this is the reason he didn’t wanna play fields, he knew he’d be pressured and that’s tough an a qb in the nfl, maybe he was waiting till the end of the season to slow him in so he wouldn’t get killed and hurt ( huge possibility) All I saw where the past two weeks were to play him, now he did and this was the result and y’all still calling him out....that’s hella biased

Because Nagy doesn’t do anything to help the situation. It’s the same thing he did to Mitch. A better play caller would create situations for the young qb to have a chance to succeed. Plus this is Nagy’s guy - just like Foles was- all he needed was “his” qb.

As a Chicago native watching the bears team play is honestly a chore there is nothing fun about this dang football team. The games are always boring as hell. I'm not asking for them to win every single game but at least make a competitive and fun to watch. I will never understand why Chicago is a football city when we had one of the greatest dynasties in basketball history and two historic baseball teams yet this city is obsessed with its crappy football team. Even smaller market teams are competitive and fun to watch. The bears are supposed to be the third biggest market in NFL yet they are the worst team to watch ever since I could remember.

? I don't know, there seemed to be a lot of bad reads going on and forcing things where he shouldn't , and not throwing it when he should have. Like on some of those blitzes there were 1 on 1 he could have taken shot down field and put the ball on the sideline yet he didn't, and a few skinny post was open 10 -15 yards. There were more then one he forced in the middle and the in or check down was wide open. Actually if you watched the tape there were some screens called that fields completely misread defense and kept the ball. Nagy didn't seem to help his guy out though as usual, the game looked to fast for Fields today, hopefully he learns, he's not going to do that sitting on the bench.
