Brady has that effect on several teams. Several teams were slated to be a dynasty and go on nice lil runs, then they lose to Brady and those teams are never the same. Seattle was on a great run with dynasty talk all the buzz.. Then Brady wins superbowl and boom, Seattle is never the same afterward. Kansas City was on a great run with dynasty talk all the buzz.. Then Brady wins superbowl and boom, Kansas is never the same afterward. That's just the 2nd half of his career, there's teams from early Brady that suffered the same fate too. It's also crazy how many Qbs are on different teams 2-3 years after losing to Brady in big games.
@flexydude2 жыл бұрын
@@bennypit4411 I like Brady and the Patriots, but I'm not sure Kansas City belongs here. The Chiefs lost to Brady, Belichick and the Patriots in the 2018 season playoffs, but then Kansas City won the Super Bowl in the 2019 season. I'm aware the next season Brady and the Buccaneers beat the Chiefs in the 2020 SB, but KC got back to the AFC Championship game in the 2021 playoffs and now we'll see what happens next. Point is, some times Brady's team wins and sometimes other teams win and it goes back and forth, and it's too early to tell about the Chiefs who are probably still very good. Also if the Chiefs do slide, remember things change in the NFL pretty fast and it's very hard for any team to remain a championship contender for a long time. Many teams rise and fall quickly due to injuries, salary cap, free agency, age, culture, etc. If a team does contend for a while, it's usually due to strong consistency at quarterback, head coach and front office. So to that end, Brady deserves all the credit he gets, and by the same token, Patrick Mahomes can perhaps keep the Chiefs in strong contention for several more years.

It's not just Brady or Bilicheck, it's the whole franchise, they are the Apple of the NFL, everyone knows their job and does it big time. I was at a popular sports bar (PJ Whelihans) in Pennsylvania during this game with my friends who all hate the Patriots, the only ones wearing Patriots jerseys were I and a teacher of mine from HS who happened to be at the table over with her family. The entire game random strangers yelled at and taunted us from their tables/barstools the entire game, and I just sat there quietly smiling, drinking my beer and watching the game and she kept looking over at me and smiling at me giving thumbs up, and eventually when the patriots started to get hot, she approached the table and proclaimed that Brady was going to make a comeback and that the entire sports bar would eat their words. Well after watching this, you all know what happened, you can only imagine the silence in that building when the patriots won, i stood up and looked around staring down all those who taunted me smiling and yelled out asking "why did everyone get so quiet? Dont you all have more to say to us Patriots fans about the game?" and then my old teacher ran over and hugged me while her husband and all his patriots hating friends stared angrily lol, while everyone else hung their head muttering under their breasth looking pissed and salty and many began clearing out the sports bar. For those blaming the refs: That PI call was 100% correct. Yes, he got his head around but just before that he drove him out while facing the receiver despite being in phase. On the fumble play, he had it pinned on his hip. It was definitely a fumble don’t get me wrong! All I’m saying is that it wasn’t clear enough to 100% go either way. U can’t really blame the refs for that. Even if the fumble was a “bad call”, it’s still one play. U can’t blame one play for a whole game. Sports are about battling through adversity. The patriots battled through adversity better than the Jags did. Ex: Brady’s hand, Gronk being out, defense struggling to stop the Jags offensive schemes.

This Jags defense might be dominated but let us not forget they gave up 40 points to Tom Brady's backup in week 16 who was playing for a shitty 49ers team and also 40 pts to Pittsburgh and almost lost to the Bills in Wildcard weekend if it wasn't for Nathan Peterman being Nathan Peterman. The most dominated Defense Brady probably play against in playoffs games has to be the 2005 Broncos, 2007 Giants, 2009 Ravens, 2010 Jets, 2011 Giants and 2015 Broncos. Why because in the playoffs he got humiliated, exposed and loss to these teams. What did these teams do that the Jags couldn't, they pressure Brady continuously all game and never allowed him to truly get in rythm. It's not an easy task especially with someone as smart as Tom Brady. Props to him for getting to that 8th super bowl. One of the greatest to ever play.

I remember this and the Seahawks Super Bowl as very similar. The Pats couldn't BUY a play all game in either game. But the defense just kept shutting down the run, kept making Blake Bortles try to beat them through the air (or in the case of Seattle keep making Russel Wilson beat them in the air), and had faith that Brady and Belichick would figure out a way to score 2 or 3 times before time ran out. Sure enough in both games they did just that. To be able to gameplan around the faith you have in the football IQ of your HC and QB like that is BANANAS to me, and speaks volumes to how that duo was just on another level in this 5ish year stretch. Also im fully aware the Seattle super bowl played out a little different lol. More just pointing out the similarity in how the team trusted this offense to squeeze water from a rock and they found a way to do exactly that.
