Richard Sherman is old anyways and had a injury so his speed is going to decline which is obvious. He LD His respected WRs and didn't let up anything more then a 10 yard gain until the last quarter. If anything, there was multiple other 49ers CBs who sold and messed up at the final minute. Like the WASP they had on Tyreek Hill and how the Deep cornerback bite the In Out which led Opening for Tyreek Hill to be open. And 49ers horrible use of wasting the clock was the bigger factors of the game then Richard Sherman being burnt by a WR at lot younger who didn't have an achilleas at the age Richard Sherman is, and he still was able to ball out, but just a tiny mistake. Hate how the only mistakes a dude makes is what everyone backlashes on. Pretty sad, and just pathetic. @Rowdy that’s interesting since Sherman is literally still playing at an All Pro level and his passed Revis is nearly every defensive category despite playing nearly a full season less than him. Oh and that Sherman’s winning teams were built from the ground up. He didn’t have to go to Pats to win a ring. He was key part of new contender and he was there from the beginning. He then went to a dumpster fire of a team after a catastrophic injury, stuck with it and then was the best corner and all pro on that team that went from dumpster fire to the best defense in the league and competing in the SB one season later. Sherman has had prolonged success and he’s still playing at an elite level when Revis mustered a whole 1 int and 7 passed defended for the remainder of his career in when he hit Sherman’s current age. Ah yea that’s right Sherman had sooooo much help! I guess when the Jets were playoff team under Rex Ryan they weren’t a defensive team full of studs. In Revis’ best season the Jets gave up the least points in the NFL, guess that was all Revis because he was playing man to man against everyone on the other team at the same time.

@@moversrus4048 Sherman is still playing great but cant cover speedy receivers anymore. He got burned by Devante Adams the week before. He is better in zone coverage but should move to safety next year.
@moversrus40484 жыл бұрын
@Kool Kitties So a guy who was an All Pro playing corner this season and the best corner on the best defense should switch to safety? He’s too slow but if you look up the number of 20 plus yard completions he gave up the entire season including the playoffs what do you find? Schematically, Sherman finds himself on an island plenty of times, and his coverage numbers this season speak for themselves. Over the season, Sherman allowed a passer rating of 46.8 when targeted. If you add in the postseason, that number actually drops lower than the passer rating of just throwing the ball into the dirt every play instead. He allowed just 52.9% of passes thrown his way to be caught and surrendered only 227 yards all season long - there were cornerbacks who surrendered almost 200 receiving yards in a single game this season, never mind over the whole campaign. One of the many things that has made Sherman such a perfect fit for the scheme he plays in is that he has always protected the defense from the big play over the top. Sherman has been historically difficult to beat deep, and this season was no exception. Though we’ll remember the playoff reception from Davante Adams that sparked the spat with Revis, that play was remarkable because of how rare it is for Sherman. Through 17 weeks of the regular season, he was targeted nine times on passes 20-plus yards downfield; he didn’t allow any of them to be caught, and he broke up three of them. Richard Sherman: Coverage numbers on targets 20-plus yards downfield (2011-2019, postseason play included)

Most Heroic performance I ever saw in a SB by a RB. 0:25 he picked up a blitzer making the pass even possible...and did that ALL game, on every single big pass play. Besides sealing the win with the final TD run. When the Falcons lost the 2016 SB, Devonta Freeman whiffed on the awful sack that pushed Falcons out of FG range. OL & RB Blocking wins championships; no blocking like 2020 SB (Chiefs lost both O Tackles in AFC Championship) you don't win. In fact if Chiefs lost those OL in Dec instead of end of Jan; they'd have lost in the Division round and forgotten.

Sherman always said “it isn’t trash talking when u can back it up”. He didn’t in which he didn’t reply I respect that. I’m a Chief fan so ofc I’m happy of his mistake but I have nothing but respect for #25 they have one viscous defense. Good game.

Mr. K2n5pliffey imagine naming your son after Lil Wayne. I love weezy f baby, but not that much. Even in 2006, I would’ve been like, calm down

Richard Sherman has been a liability these last few years. Greats don't get burnt in the biggest games of their life. Yet, time and time again Sherman gets turned into a meme. Why he didn't puts his hand up and press him blows my mind because that would've given the safety enough time to come over the top for help. He plays physical defense right there and that catch doesn't happen.

Man he played Sherman with that inside release. If you watch closely, Sherman is playing an in cut route. Whether a hitch, or an in cut or a post. Just beautifully done.

Watkins is the perfect WR oppo Hill and then Kelce is the perfect TE in the middle of them. He’s a Great TE and fits in any offense but it’s a perfect fit in the middle of those elite speedsters. He can run too for a TE but his grind to go with it is what’s so fresh all together. Imagine having Shady in there from even just a couple-few seasons ago or still having West in there. That was a legit loss to the O last yr., he just fit perfect as well. They’ve obviously made it work and found a Guy that gets the RB’s job done in all 3 phases.

I hope KC finds a way to keep Sammy....he's a critical part of KC's offence in clutch situations.

This is an excellent clip. The editing and analysis is very good. Lizard Lips Patrick threw a tight spiral. Watkins ran a great route and catch. Richard Sherman is still a great corner. I feel a little sorry for him. He took it like a man. Close on the touchdown, but the ball broke the plane before the foot stepped out. A great ending to a contest between two great teams.
