I LOVE MY CITY, I cried when they won. I'm so happy my father got to finally see it too, because his health is failing from stage 4 colon cancer and will probably not make it to 2019. Then we go on a wild card run in 08, surely that was the year... and Larry Fitz kills us. As a Pats fan I'm not even mad anymore. Brady played one helluva game, probably his best Super Bowl game ever. It's just sad that the defense just can't stop Philly. But the Eagles deserved it this year, I'm really happy for them that they finally win their first ring. Their story is the best ever. Why do we hear the commentators repeatedly saying the Eagles' defense had no answer for Brady and the Pats but we never heard them say the Pats defense had no answer for Foles and the Eagles even though we were beating them for most of the game and ended up winning by eight points?? If their defense had all the answers, why did we score 41 points on them?? Basically, I hate the commentators. They always seem to kiss certain teams' backsides no matter what.

I think they kept saying that because before the game, the eagles defense was considered to be very good and would make it very hard for Brady to put up points. I honestly was surprised the pats put up 33 points (+ missed field goal and extra point) but I wasn't surprised the eagles offense dominated the patriots defense. All in all, if you would have told me beforehand the eagles offense would put up 40+ points and the game would still come down to the last couple of minutes, I would have thought you were mad considering that awesome eagles defense.

The ball comes loose while his hands are UNDER the ball...and then he re-catches it cleanly. He never actually "fumbled"...so all the details are irrelevant anyway. The trick play was legal since Foles had started in shotgun and Jeffery made sure his spot was okay. The Pats ran the same play against them a few years ago. And when do PIs get called in a hail mary? If they were then penalties would offset and it'd be game over

What a great game and season that was. I was so happy that I finally got to see my beloved Eagles finally reach the pinnacle. I was just 9 years old when the won in 62. All the games my dad and I watched at Franklin Field, The Vet and on TV. He was gone now but I felt him with me at the end of that game...And now, at 71, I want one more for all of us--EAGLES fans and family. The Falcons went regular season mode thinking the other team was gonna give up. Then when the Patriots fought back the Falcons had a panic attack and their defense hate to say it DEFLATED.

I was in the hospital the day after having a heart attack when the Eagles beat the Vikings for the NFC championship this year. Kinda of in the same boat as you. But after what I saw in SBLI, you have to respect what Brady and the Pats can do. The game is NEVER over for the Patriots until double zeros on the clock. I don't watch them during the year so I'm not sure if they step it up in the second half or the other teams lose gas after halftime/3QTR. I agree Brady does have a few more years. It's my guess if they get back and win another SB, he'll retire...

No way Brady has 3 or 4 more years. He's been incredibly lucky with injuries his career but at his age he's just one good hit or tear away from retirement. Things heal slower and you're never 100% coming back, which is bad when you're past your prime already. Look what happened to Peyton in his last season. He went from looking like a GOAT to a guy who couldn't be a starter for the local high school with one torn muscle in his foot. Even if he stays healthy I say 2 seasons at the most. Regardless of his performance in the Super Bowl he's occasionally looked 40 out there this season. Most people don't notice because he's so good even at 80% he's a beast but those reflexes go fast when they start to go. Because of his lack of mobility and often a lack of a good offensive line so much of his game is based on getting rid of the ball fast and that's a dangerous thing to rely on when you get old. Bill better get him some help up front this year and obviously a lot of help on D because I seriously doubt we see many, if any, more 500yd games.
