I actually have a theory for Chris' "orange before red" theory. -Orange is a mixture of yellow and red -On the color wheel, if we were looking for a path to get from yellow to blue, we would pass through orange before red, then arrive at blue, so -Blue is closer to red on the color wheel, and orange is farther away

If you're looking at the actual spectrum of visible light it goes from red to violet at the extremes. Hence infrared and ultraviolet. Those are beyond the visual spectrum. So orange would have to be somewhere between red and blue because blue leads directly into violet.

To me the route running and ability to get open is most important. Tyler Lockett isn't tall or impressive physically but he is clever, reads defense and and most times gets open. One of the best outlet guys and severely under rated

There’s not a single person who in sports media who hasn’t gotten something badly wrong. Simms is still in the upper echelon of draft analysts. Dude watches the film without any pre conceived bias from the common groupthink, and isn’t afraid to call his shot with a slept on player. As long as someone has sound reasoning and seems well researched, I don’t really care how many players they get “right”, the draft is too much of a crap shoot watching stuff like this is merely entertainment. I Definitely take Chris’ opinion seriously though.

Realistically speaking, the only player in the NFL that would deserve 5 years 240 million dollars guaranteed would be Mahomes. He’s the only guy that a team would feel confident that he will be committed, stay healthy, and perform at the highest level and win you superbowls. JSN was the best receiver on the Buckeye team in 2021 over both Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. Jameson Williams transferred from Ohio State to Bama because he couldn’t break the Buckeye starting lineup. I think JSN will be awesome in the NFL. The scary part is the 2 top Buckeye receivers this year might be better than any of them in Marvin Harrison Jr and Emeka Egbuka. Also, JSN’s official laser timed 40 was 4.48.

Kevin White is bigger than Quentin Johnson. White was 6’3’’ 215 at the combine in 2015. Johnson was 6’3’’ 208. They are both like just under 6’3’’ I’m just rounding up. So White is bigger and way faster than Johnson.

I'm usually in agreement with a lot of Simms' takes and I'm surprised he got through this list without mentioning the best WR in the draft, Cedric Tillman. I thought this all along and his athletic testing for a big WR was better than DeAndre Hopkins and on par with A.J. Green but he has bigger hands than Green and has a better body to run slants. I just do not see the hole. He beats press, he is an A+ blocker, he runs after the catch, and he has BIG games on film against top competition including 10 catches for 200 yards and 1 TD against the 2021 UGA defense that was billed as one of the best ever.

Tillman will be a great value this year. Analysts all are lower on Vols because of the offensive scheme, everyone recognizes the talent and you're not wrong but scouts just are not sure how that skillset translates to various offenses at the pro level yet so they are hesitant

Past 2 years Simms has had usually his top WR be really good but be kinda off on 3-5. Brown and pierce where each #3 in his rankings in their years over the likes of jaylen waddle and Drake London and let's not forget Wilson AND Place missing his top 5 last year entirely.....so I would say top of his rankings are usually good but he's been off besides that. So I would guess Addison is going to be awesome since he's being left off.

He wasn't even the full time starter in college. They played him and Drew Stanton (or whatever his name was). That and an awful combine. It just goes to show a mix of production/athleticism is what makes a good player, and it's not easy to see. Brady came in and saved games for Michigan when the other guy was folding, but the other guy was more of a pure "athlete".
