Russ looked elite his whole time in Seattle, except for his final year, during which he had an injured throwing hand! Come on people, Washington played that game without 2 1/2 starting O-line and their #1 rusher and still put up 27 with a number of dropped passes and a bad spot to end the game. I still don't think that Steelers D is all that. The Steelers did a really good job not letting Jayden run on them all game and executed that last drive really well. I almost couldn't believe the D linemen jumping offsides like that, much less letting Williams get behind you on a 3rd and 9 but I guess that's why we traded for Lattimore. Hopefully he can play Thursday night. For Washington over all it's much bigger game then this one.

Mahomes and the Chiefs have actually changed the way the game is played. If you carefully watch the top QBs in the league, you see their actual execution of each play looks amazingly like how Mahomes and the Chiefs execute and their techniques, especially how the passing game works. It's much less "run this route and be at this exact spot" and now it's much more organic and routes change and evolve in the moment. The are more QBs and receivers playing this way. This is an outgrowth of the Chiefs success. Go back and watch films of passing plays and how QBs plays. Young QBs see the success that Mahomes has and they are emulating how he and the Chiefs do it.

I'm a long time Chief's fan (started in 1966) and I find I am tiring of the endless talk about win streaks and 3 peats. I'd almost rather they had lost one this season just so the media could let it go. I mean, I hope they win every game but too much is put upon the win streak because it doesn't mean anything. If they lost one then all this "can't lose" nonsense will stop and will they be a worse team? Probably not. It reminds me of rolling dice and getting endless 7's with a crowd all yelling "can't lose!". You know the streak will end. The problem with Mike Williams is that he wasn`t earlyer on the field or involved in the game. Instead of Williams, Mike Tomlin let Russ throw to Van Trashersson over and over and he could`nt deliver. It drives me crazy the whole game. Only reason why going undefeated is easier in NFL than in NBA is because they play fewer games in NFL than in NBA. If the NFL had an 82 game regular season like in the NBA, there would never be any undefeated teams. Therefore the 1971-1972 LA Lakers who won 33 in a row and the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls who went 72-10 are better than the 20-0 Chiefs. Winning 72 games in an 82 game season and winning 33 in a row is more difficult than winning 20 in a row.
