Except two games. Against Brady's Bucs and Burrow's Bengals. The depleted O-line could not give Mahomes enough time against TB in Super Bowl 55. Cincy's defense confused him in that AFC Championship game. He played a great game against Brady's Patriots in that AFC Championship during his first full season. Other than these three losses, perfection. Great QBs need a solid team and coaching staff around them. A three peat in today's NFL playoffs is nearly impossible to achieve because it takes a minimum of three wins against the best teams in the league to win the SB. The Chiefs have proven to be the best playoff team since Mahomes joined the league. Their chances to three-peat therefore are better than 50% because they are.
@GKA1111124 күн бұрын
@@thx1138guythe fact you literally broke down his career into just 2 or 3 bad moments is insane. If you’re less than perfect moment is losing to Brady with a depleted o line… that’s still 99.8% perfection

@@thx1138guy Your reference to the Tampa SB doesn't fit, because the premise was "when healthy", and for that game, he wasn't. He was playing with a foot so bad that it required surgical repaid *before* that game, but played his heart out anyway. Burrow's a different debate due to details, but in Tom's Last Stand don't ignore the serious foot injury. Torn plantar fascia, I believe.

Love this interview because Mahomes not only confirmed that Andy Reid is a top tier offensive mind and the structure and design of that offense is super clean and efficient, but also that he just understands Reid’s tendencies and direction like the back of his hand. That chemistry makes difficult games much more manageable and helps calm the nerves. Mahomes, Reid, and Kelce have so much chemistry, it’s hard to beat (I touched on these aspects of the trio a couple years ago in a podcast and said that KC would repeat following their victory over the Eagles in the Super Bowl prior). Then you have Spags’ defensive genius and Chris Jones. Clutch postseason defensive play. Butker is clutch too! It’s no wonder the Chiefs have been so successful. Mahomes is the cherry on top. He’s fireworks on a nuclear team. Chiefs will beat the Rams in New Orleans, 33-27 OT. Threepeat complete. - Bills fan 🔵🔴 GO BILLS!

As a Chiefs fan thinking back about the Super Bowls he won and how close they were, it's weird because they never felt that close. Besides the one we lost where our whole O-line was injured and he was running for his life the whole game, in the other games it never felt like they were as close as they were. We just have faith that he'll figure it out somehow. And they've done a great job with the O-line since then, so it's not an issue. It's a team sport, but the star shines brighter with a good team.
