Only the Browns could jettison a QB out of there only to bring in a worse QB where they have to give up a boatload of draft picks and sign him to contract that paralyzes the team lol NE would take a 6th rounder for Brisset and dollar for dollar that's a huge upgrade at QB if the Browns had no one.

Man, if Deshaun doesn’t get better, this sets the Browns back for years. They’re stuck with him until 2027, they lost their first round picks, they’ll need to find a new QB which is not easy. By the time Deshaun is gone a lot of good Browns players will probably be gone too. This could put them back to complete 5 year rebuild that doesn’t even start until 2027.

Even is Watson does play like his old self, I will never feel as special towards this team as I did watching Baker, Chubb, and Landry taking on the Chiefs in the Divisional round of the 2020 playoffs. That team, although "less talented" was so special and fun to watch and we threw that magic away. 😪 Honestly it hurts so much thinking about it. I'm just happy I knew to enjoy it while it lasted.

The allegations had 0 effect on me personally, as everyone is innocent until proven guilty. This trade itself was stupid across the board. The value that they were letting go (Baker) and replacing him with (A D. Watson that was already out of the league for a year) didn't make any sense unless they literally made a SB appearance at minimum. The Cleveland Clowns deserves every bit of this. The fans unfortunately do not.

vs a 31st ranked defense...he had 2 wins last year vs teams with winning records...is he better than DW right now yes...but he's not a HOF QB...AB took a shot on what he thought was a top 5 QB, and missed...Check out Baker's stats down a score with less than two minutes to go...he's a front runner who always throws the killer pick...yes, this trade looks terrible now, but staying with just, an OK QB, wasn't good for me either...there were a lot of teams who wanted Watson, so, it's just not The Browns...

I think people also overlook that Watson took tons of sacks in Houston and was always bottom 5 in the nfl. He is a qb that gets sacked easily. Shallow passing stats look great if you take sacks at a higher rate instead of trying to make a play that might risk incompletions or interceptions and worsen your passer rating. His passing stats did not tell the whole story about his play

The worst part of the whole Watson trade, besides his poor play, is that he's never once admitted to doing anything wrong in Houston. Regardless of the suspensions where the NFL confirmed that he did all the things he was accused of, he still tries to act like that never happened. I think having to dance around the reality of what's happening to him is why he'll never be the player he was in Houston.

Deshaun is not just a broken quarterback; he is a broken human being. I believe that this is because he never acknowledged his wrongdoing. He continues to deny that all those things he did were heinous and disgusting. When he finally admits that those things he did were so very wrong, and that he terribly damaged a bunch of fine young women, only then will he be able to get past the consequences of the evil that he committed. What this really comes down to is Browns coaching. When running Stefanskis offense last year, every QB including Watson found success. They have fully switched to Droseys offense, and it isn’t working so far. They did the same to Baker, you have to work with what you got, and they have shown for decades they are incapable of doing so.

Watson has an excuse every game for why he sucks. Hopefully after Johnny Manzeil and now Watson Haslam will never "pick" another player. I kept telling everyone that Watsons best season his team was 4-12, a fact no reporter seems to remember. Meanwhile the average QB they dumped had a QB rating of 146 compared to watson's 50

Growing up in northeast Ohio I’ve been in Browns fan since I can remember and I’m now 65 years old. Ever since Art left Cleveland for Baltimore and the team was basically restarted as an expansion team, they have been plagued with stupid decisions surrounding a quarterback position. Soon as I heard about this Watson deal, I knew it was a bad idea and I just cringed. Here we go again! You know you would think that a franchise quarterback, such as Tom Brady, for example, Brett Favre, would want to come to Cleveland and play to bring this city a long sought after superbowl win. I can’t think of a better way for a quarterback, to be forever remembered as the quarterback, who ended this long drought for some of the greatest NFL fans ever. All it’s going to take for Cleveland is to find that quarterback, who wants to play for them and bring a championship to their city similar to what LeBron James did for the Cavs. But Cleveland can’t seem to get over this problem. I can’t blame young quarterbacks for wanting to be champions and to have a good chance to make it to the Super Bowl, but I’m just hoping that a franchise quarterback that has already been to the Super Bowl would come to Cleveland and play and get them out of this drought and become immortalized by an entire city forever! The same thing would apply to an already successful coach like Bill Belicheck (sp?) for example. Dee And Jimmy Haslam have got to find a way to change this reputation and or negative image of Cleveland Browns football. Paying Deshaun Watson or any other football player this much money set a very bad precedent for future NFL contracts as we just now saw with Dak Prescott. My opinion, the owners need to get together with the commissioner and find a way to put a cap on these contracts. We’re going to see more and more of this crap and it’s no wonder why it cost so much to be able to watch NFL games and go to actual games nowadays, they have to recoup this ridiculous money somehow and the fans are ultimately paying the price!! Man, I really miss Marty Schottenheimer and Bernie Kosar just a name two 😢. On another sidenote I can’t believe Deshaun Watson had the audacity to show up at a press conference wearing $10,000 bling bracelets and designer diamond stud glasses. This is a slap in the face to Cleveland fans if you ask me.

The magic is missing right now, his confidence has taken a major hit .. True and I get it. However if we are talking about this year and taking it in the present ... it is 'ONE' game so far this season Lol. Dallas is a darn good team and he was pretty much thrown to the wolves this game. Let's give him until week five or six until we make our 'final' decision on him. One game against a good team all things considered is much to already be saying it's over for him and he needs to go. Let's give him a handful games to improve and try to get that magic back (or at least a large portion of it). With that said .. this year is his final chance to do something. That much is obvious.

Got a first round pick in 2025 next yr draft your future qb. Have him ready. When the DW4 project is done. Hes going to show signs of top five qb in a few games comeing up. But will come up injured or be suspended. Winston can get us through the rest of the season with the DTR project. Plus look at your defense with no crowd noise they are average at best.
