I remember watching this game with a bunch of my friends (all bears fans) and when rodgers found cobb on that 4th down to end the game. I went absolutely crazyyyy. I'm torturing myself all week with the end of Jim McMahon's 1986 season, the 2010 NFC Championship game, this, the choke in Week 1 of 2018, the I own you game, Week 1 of 2023, and the blocked field goal. This is either gonna make it so much sweeter when we finally beat them for the first time since 2018 or numb me to the pain when we lose our 12th straight to them. I turn 19 in February and I've been alive for 8 wins against Green Bay. The pendulum's gotta swing at some point 😭

@blacksabfan
@blacksabfan 2 күн бұрын
I agree. I think the one official that called it incomplete on the field was fooled because I think he assumed for the ball to bounce up like that, it had to at least partially hit the ground. In actuality, it hits his forearm as he's trying to catch it and the adjustment Quarless makes to secure it while kind of rolling over, causes that odd movement. Apparently the replay official wrongly assumed the same thing.
@notbeyonce
@notbeyonce 2 күн бұрын
@@blacksabfanfor the first official, yes. For the replay, he couldn't and likely didn't make any assumptions. Since the ruling on the field was incomplete, at that point, he needed to see definitive evidence that it DIDN'T touch the ground, in order to overturn it. And it just couldn't be proven. Whatever was called in real time was going to stand.

Some of these bears teams at the time were good if only they had a good QB

packers has produced HOF worthy QBs Favre and Rogers and Love seems to succeed the tradition, but Bears never had great quarterback Even at their one and only SB triumph McMahon was a mediocre QB

It says a lot when your franchise never had a 4000 yard passer yet especially in this no defense soft league. Maybe Caleb can get it eventually.
