My mom was born in Wisconsin. I was born and raised in chicago, as a packers fan. I remember watching this game with a bunch of my friends (all bears fans) and when rodgers found cobb on that 4th down to end the game. I went absolutely crazyyyy. Ill never forget falling to my knees, screaming in excitement, while everyone else looked on the verge of tears😂 Go pack Go.

There was over 11 minutes left. I completely agree with the call to kick the extra point. Never go for two unless you have to. Can’t count how many times coaches do that too early and it bites them in the ass.

Many of the iconic Bears-Packers games took place 1920s-2000’s on top of what younger fans like me grew up on. People need to understand that once the Bears beat the Packers consistently or even occasionally it will go back to being the most intense rivalry

Even if you look at the one sided matchups of the past few years you’ll see. The only knock on this rivalry is that they have long stretches of it being one sided. The Bears dominated from the late 60’s-late 80’s and the Pack dominated since the 90s

I've always respected Lovie Smith saying that his number one goal was to beat Green Bay in his opening press conference when he got the Bears job. As a Packer fan, it was like, bring it on! The bad news was that Lovie's teams were actually pretty good against Green Bay. He probably should have been kept around a bit longer.

I'm torturing myself all week with the end of Jim McMahon's 1986 season, the 2010 NFC Championship game, this, the choke in Week 1 of 2018, the I own you game, Week 1 of 2023, and the blocked field goal. This is either gonna make it so much sweeter when we finally beat them for the first time since 2018 or numb me to the pain when we lose our 12th straight to them. I turn 19 in February and I've been alive for 8 wins against Green Bay. The pendulum's gotta swing at some point 😭

Payton, I know how you feel! I was a Packer fan kid in the 80s, when the Bears destroyed us regularly. Your post reminded me of how brutal it is to be on the losing end of a rivalry like this, especially when you experience those losses as a kid. Hang in there, man!

I agree. I think the one official that called it incomplete on the field was fooled because I think he assumed for the ball to bounce up like that, it had to at least partially hit the ground. In actuality, it hits his forearm as he's trying to catch it and the adjustment Quarless makes to secure it while kind of rolling over, causes that odd movement. Apparently the replay official wrongly assumed the same thing.

Since the ruling on the field was incomplete, at that point, he needed to see definitive evidence that it DIDN'T touch the ground, in order to overturn it. And it just couldn't be proven. Whatever was called in real time was going to stand.
