One of my favorite days as a Steelers fan who grew up in TX. I was there. Last Steelers/Cowboys game in the old Texas Stadium. SO MANY Steelers fans there the Cowboys were saying post-game they couldn't tell it was a home game. I also remember the Cowboys fans in the stands talking mad smack when they were ahead. As soon as the Steelers got within a TD, they got QUIET. Church mouse quiet. Steelers fans stayed loud and rowdy throughout and ran the Cowboys fans out of the stadium after the victory. Ben certainly played a role in this comeback, but just like most games early in his career, the Steelers defense made all the stops to allow for a comeback.

It came during the game in which Maddox got hurt too. Week 2 or something. The Steelers beat the Pats earlier that season in NE which allow them to have the 1 seed and home field but i think they got to cocky when they face the Pats again for the 2nd time thinking they will win. Fans and even the Steelers themselves didn't expect a blowout 41-27 since the first game was a lot closer. My bad a lot was wrong. NE actually went to Pittsburgh and lost and it wasn't a close game.

The Patriots prior to the rematch embarrassed the league greatest offense at the time Indianapolis 20-3 and embarrassed the league #1 defense (Pittsburgh) the next game. The Steelers 2 SB win in the Big Ben era came when they didn't have to play the Patriots. No Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. The Steelers would've been the modern NFL dynasty instead of the Patriots.

Man, I'm always a little depressed when I see Parcells with the Cowboys. Jerry Jones lost patience with him and he had to deal with a headache named T.O. a couple years after this game. He waited too long to pull the trigger on Romo (and i'm not making that up as Dat Nguyen said in an article that he had conversations with Parcells where he said that was his biggest regret in Dallas) and lastly, the game was starting to pass him by. That said, it's kinda cool how you got connections all over the place as Cowher would end up being a CBS colleague of Nantz and Romo would end up becoming his color guy and changing the way an analyst functions on broadcasts (sometimes not all positively IMO)
