Great explanation. Which type of welding is done for Firefighting pipes. I have heard up to 2" pipe sizes threaded fittings are used and above 2" pipe sizes groove fittings are used. Any specific type of welding is used for Firefighting pipes. Can you please explain when to use welding and threaded fittings and groove fittings.

Under 2" pipes shall be threaded fitting and above 2" pipes shall be butt welded fittings for M.S pipes or you can used grooved fittings also

NFPA Says: All piping and attached appurtenances subjected to system working pressure shall be hydrostatically tested at gauge pressure of 200 psi (13.8 bar) or 50 psi (3.4 bar) in excess of the system working pressure, whichever is greater, and shall maintain that pressure at gauge pressure of ±5 psi (0.34 bar) for 2 hours.

@@shujauddinmalik502 Properly calculate pressure through hydraulic calculation includes fittings, pipe length, valves etc. If you want to know static pressure then 0.1x20meters = 2kg/cm2 +15kg/cm2 = 17 kg/cm2
