@@Kungfudubh completely disagree. There’s isn’t one song on this album that sounds like it’s meant to be a top 40 song. They’re all straight up rap or R&B. It’s not an album with cheap, catchy, pop hooks like “In My Feelings” or “One Dance.” Its real and Tried My Best has incredible production. The Ooooos at the end, the old school bass line and progression with singing Drake. Tried Our Best is the most Take Care song he’s made in a long time.

This album is solid. It’s up there with Her Loss. Drake’s albums have always gotten hate at the beginning though. I remember when Take Care dropped people were trashing it too. It didn’t dropped and people were like omg this is perfect and people were even saying even Thank Me Later was better. Had more rap heavy songs supposedly. And idk what. I looked up some old reviews and saw the comments. Drake’s albums get better with time after the hate clears out apparently.

Virginia Beach, Fear of Heights, Daylight, First Person Shooter, Slime You Out, Drew A Picasso, Members Only, All The Parties, 8AM in Charlotte and Away From Home are easily S-tier songs. They’re high effort and he catches all the pockets on those songs. These are rap heavy, high energy, hungry Drake. I cannot see how you can listen to these songs and say he sounds monotone or bored. That’s 10/21 non-Interlude songs. Then you have Amen, Bahamas Promises, Tried Our Best and What Would Pluto Do in the A tier. Very solid songs. Great R&B vibes. Then you have the rest which are a mixed bag. But they’re some people’s favourite song. I mean I hate IDGAF but its about to go #1 so what can you say.
