- Delete the ModData folder in your NFS games directory.
- Clear your Frosty cache folder in Frosty's install directory.
- Clear (delete) the frosty folder located in "appdata/local". To reach this folder simply press Windows key + R, type “ %localappdata% ” and hit enter.
- Restart your PC.
- Follow the remaining steps in the video.

Afterwards I've noticed a big mistake in the prority order. It needs to be the other way around. The UNITE devs suggest to leave the setting at "list" and put the UNITE Heat to the top. If you mess up the order the game will crash in storymode when the game tries to load cut scenes.

We recommend that you launch the game normally first before modding it.🛑 🛑 If you're getting any errors remember that: -Mods ONLY work with LEGITIMATE COPIES of the game. -Mods for NFS Heat on the EA Desktop App/Gamepass will ONLY work after inserting the DataPathFix.exe and DataPathFix.dll in the Plugins folder you find in the Frosty Mod Manager install directory. -If you have the Steam version of the game, please link your Steam and Origin accounts together before you play any NFS game. Also do make sure it's the right account. -In order for Frosty to work properly, remember to always run it as administrator, and check if your anti-virus is throwing false positives from the frosty installation folder.

For those who doing all the steps and still the mod is not loading, try this method Where NFS is installed there's an .orig file. Delete the .exe that's in the folder and change the .orig file to an .exe by changing the extension by renaming the .orig part to .exe

I downloaded the updated files from this video, but followed the tutorial from 5 months ago instead, since I have the EA desktop app. ( I moved the 2 EXE files out of the “DatapathFix”folder to be with the .DLL files…will that affect anything?

When locating the .exe for FrostyManager, did you use the regular .exe or the orig.exe?

Go to the installed directory. Get a backup of original exe. Then delete the original exe file. Then rename the orig file, just delete the .orig and replace it with .exe. Then try the modding again from the beginning

Are you playing the game using ea play or xbox gamepass? If yes, unite mod does not support with the subscription versions of the game. Or try to disable in game overlay of EADesktop app. And change pc’s language before launching the game if it is set to a another language. Try these methods and let me know

It changed after the unite mod slightly. If you are talking about a whole new digital numeric speedometer, then it's a separate speedometer mod comes with unite mod. You can find it with unite mod 3.5 in the addons folder

Alright, I have the gamepass version and have been able to follow the guide completely. I am receiving an error that goes like this "Field not found: 'Frosty.Core.App.FileSystemManager'." Is there anything I can do to fix this? (I understand that it may not be possible but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Unfortunately Unite mod does not works with the subscription methods of the game.

Use one handling mod at a time. Both handling mods behaves on their own way. Simcade feels more in to simulation handling and arcade is for arcadish handling like nfs used to be

I already deactivated the EA APP overlay and installed the game on another disk and repaired the game but the mods do not appear. Had the same issue. The reason is a wrong loading order. Set the priority to "list" in frosty and put "UNITE Heat" to the top and down below the "Story mode compability".

Worked like a charm the first 2 times. But when i deleted save file to start a new game the game crashes on the loading screen after i press play unite (story). Does it not support new game?

You can't delete save files and start over the story since the game works on server based save game records

@@KR4YZEE Found a fix for this. The stance mods are one of the issues. The main issue though is the unite default pack and it should be used only on finished story. I imported the story pack, which is basically meant for unfinished/fresh new game and everything works perfectly now

1. If you can launch the game but without the Unite logo, close the game and exit the Frosty Mod Manager. 2. Relaunch the Frosty Mod Manager, but do not select the game title. 3. While the Frosty Mod Manager is open, go to Steam and launch the game in the usual way through Steam. 4. The game should now launch with the Unite mod applied after following these steps.

Did you unzipped them properly? If you kept them in thr zip files, they wont shoe up. And follow the steps accordingly , to import unite fbmods u need to follow files, import and locate the files

Are you playing the game using ea play or xbox game pass? If yes, unite mod does not works with subscription versions of the game. If you tried to mod the game several times, get a fresh files of frosty. And delete mod data file on game installation folder. And type %appdata% on Run and delete frosty folder. Redo the modding process again. If you own the game on EA desktop, don't use datapathfix. Turn off ingame overlay in EA desktop. Set windows language to english before launching the game

they are for change the handling of the game, arcade type handling, sim (Forza,grid) type handling. You don't need to remove those, you can play with those as your preference. In the video, It's the way that I used to play.

After so many reinstalling and redoing every steps to install this mod.. To the point that I had to reformat this laptop, I think I give up and just play vanilla. It's really not working. Back in January 2023 I made this mod to work but now I want to play heat again with this mod. Now it doesn't work. I've read every nooks and cranny of the tutorial and all and yeah as the previous comment said, some admins are so rude. - I have the steam version - Installed this on an SSD - Repaired the game countless times - There are instances that the app failed to launch. When it's launching, the unite logo doesn't appear.

To play story mod, you need to use story mod compatible.fbmod. If not this will happen throughout the story

When opening the game, the UNITE logo does not appear and yes, I already copied and pasted the 2 datapathfix files... I'm from steam, it took me 2 days trying to install it to be able to play with this beautiful mod, but apparently none of it has worked, I think i will never be able to use it :(

Are you playing the game using EA play or xbox gamepass? If yes, mod is not working with the subscription versions of the game. If not, try to move your game files to a SSD and repair the game files on steam to make sure all the files downloaded. And head over to EA app and goto settings, in "application" tab find the ingame overlay and uncheck it. and restart ur pc. And redo the process in the video again. If the issue continues the same let me know.

if you've followed the steps before, you must follow the steps again because the faulty config is still there. Reason behind the clearing those files before applying the mod is to remove faulty config of the mod.

Use "Add Mod(s)" button to import non Unite mods. And keep them under any unite related mod files. Eg: Unite Story Mod Compatible Handling Mod **non unite mods**

man I went through this video, official FAQ and tutorial and all the troubleshooting stuff but can't get this to work. admins on the unite discord are so fucking rude, too. thanks for the video though, didn't help my case however

@@KR4YZEE just can't get it to launch with mods applied. datapathfix is properly configured, modmanager applies mods and even installs them on first launch, tried all combinations of launch options but the game just won't launch with mods. it's always vanilla. no idea what's missing tbh, re-did every single step and nothing works. also, you know what's weird? every single time i delete caches or moddata of NFS heat, EA Desktop thinks the game doesn't exist anymore and I have to re-download it

Are you playing the subscription version of the game? Like EA play or Xbox gamepass. If yes. Unite mod does not support. If not, go to “Tools” in frosty, then switch to “Launch Options” tab. Check the box “platform launching enabled” then change the “Platform” to Steam or EA desktop. Try both ways

Since you playing the game without a subscription method mods should work. Go to tools and launch options. Enable platform launch options and select steam. Then launch the mod again

@@KR4YZEE I was a having an issue where my NFS Heat would try and launch and stop launching then they proceeded to get really pissed off started being super rude. Eventually someone came in and was like "when can we ban this guy". In response to them saying that I sent a chat bubble gif and then they proceeded to ban me. Super rude server for absolutely no reason. Sad to See grown men acting in such a way. NFS community has always been toxic, but that was just unnecessary
