Car Stealers

NFSA Title 7888. Instructional film about motor theft aimed at parents and teenagers. Shows young people stealing cars and police action as well as teenagers with 'progressive parents' drinking at home and then joy riding with tragic consequences. Also shows teenagers being incarcerated, police communications and ambulances as well as stolen car parts and police divers recovering dumped cars. Scenes of teenagers in a milk bar playing pinball machines and men drinking beer in a pub, where they are offered stolen goods. Produced for the Fire and Accident Underwriters of the Commonwealth with the co-operation of Victoria Police, Hospital and Ambulance Authorities and in civilian roles members of the Beaumaris Players.
