【Nゲージ規格鉄道模型】TOMIX 485系 特急はくたか・かがやき・きらめき/485 Series Limited Express "Hakutaka＆Kagayaki＆Kirameki"

かつてまだまだ485系が北陸地方を走り回っていた時代に、東海道新幹線の米原と北陸を結ぶ特急として設定された「きらめき」、上越新幹線の長岡と北陸を結んだ「かがやき」、さらにJR西日本所属で北越急行のエース特急「はくたか」です。1997年から2002年までの姿です。
設定時には国鉄色からは考えられなかった専用塗装で運転された「きらめき」「かがやき」でしたが、廃止になる少し前に国鉄色に、北越急行開業直前に「はくたか色」とも呼ばれるこの塗色に塗り直され活躍しました。過渡期には混色編成も組まれていました。
「きらめき」は「加越」の福井のみに止まるという速達タイプとして独立設置され、米原と金沢を短時間で結ぶことを目的としていましたが、あっという間に停車駅が増やされ、「加越」との差は塗色のみとなっていました。
一方、兄弟分の「かがやき」は「北越」の速達タイプとして上越新幹線の長岡と北陸を短時間で結ぶことを目的として設定され、停車駅も直江津・魚津・富山・高岡のみと最小限に絞られ、また福井や和倉温泉にも足を伸ばすという前者と後者で明暗の別れた列車でした。
1997年に北越急行が開業すると「きらめき」「かがやき」は廃止され、金沢と越後湯沢を結ぶ列車として「はくたか」が設定されました。
編成は「きらめき」「かがやき」の編成を増強し、塗装を変更したもので、北越急行で唯一8両で運転する特急でした。
塗装は北近畿方面の特急に近い配色でグレーを基調とした色が使われています。登場時に10往復の内2往復をこの485系が受け持っていましたが、編成は2編成のみ存在していたため、検査や臨時列車などの都合により、元「白山」「能登」用の489系が代走として走ることもよくありました。
2002年に683系の増強によってＪＲ西日本受け持ち分が681系に置き換わったことによって「はくたか」の運用からは外され、一部は国鉄色に戻されて「雷鳥」に転用されました。

"Kirameki" was installed independently as an express delivery type that stops only at Fukui in "Kagoshi", and was intended to connect Maibara and Kanazawa in a short time, but the number of stops was increased in a blink of an eye, and "Kaetsu" The only difference from "Kaetsu" was the paint color.
On the other hand, the brother's "Kagayaki" is set as an express delivery type of "Hokuetsu" for the purpose of connecting Nagaoka and Hokuriku on the Joetsu Shinkansen in a short time, and the number of stops is limited to Naoetsu, Uozu, Toyama, and Takaoka. It was a train that was divided into light and dark by the former and the latter, which also went to Fukui and Wakura Onsen.
When Hokuetsu Express opened in 1997, "Kirameki" and "Kagayaki" were abolished, and "Hakutaka" was set as a train connecting Kanazawa and Echigo Yuzawa.
The formation was an enhancement of the formation of "Kirameki" and "Kagayaki", and the painting was changed. It was the only limited express train operated by 8 cars on the Hokuetsu Express.
The color scheme is similar to that of the limited express trains in the northern Kinki area, and the colors are based on gray. At the time of its appearance, this 485 series was in charge of 2 round trips out of 10 round trips, but since there were only 2 trains, due to circumstances such as inspections and special trains, the 489 series for the former "Hakusan" and "Noto" I often knew it as a substitute runner.
In 2002, the 683 series was reinforced and the 681 series was replaced by the 681 series, which removed it from the operation of "Hakutaka", and part of it was returned to the national railway color and diverted to "Raicho".
