Two earnest and sincere points of inquiry for paingain to respond to if he should read this and feel a wish to respond to! Here goes: 1. Does AJ look like a far better prospect to win against Tyson Fury after what you've observed from the Ngannou bout? I think AJ has enough similarities to Ngannou in build and in some aspects of style that Ngannou may have inadvertently exposed a clear pathway to victory for AJ and his camp to train for should a bout with Fury ever come to fruition. Do you agree? What are your thoughts, I think it would be interesting to hear your commentary on that. 2ndly and lastly, you seem to focus your commentary on the Fury Ngannou fight with a singular ,and in my opinion 2dimensional, focus on critique of Tyson's seeming failures in this performance but it is worth putting the shoe on the other foot is it not? What I mean is, I'll try explain my point of question, anyone who has ever trained in a boxing gym and has done ring work of some kind will have experienced and be familiar with the on and off days. Not just personally but also have seen the best in that gym have trouble at times. I think you know about this yourself even in your own training experience . Fury was exposed as human for the first time in a long time and considering his challenge he then had to over come in his own mind I think he showed great championship level fortitude. Did he win? I'm not asking about that. Did he fail as bad as you outline in your video? I don't think so with all things considered. With my point about Tyson having to battle himself in that ring, would you agree or concede any? If pain gain doesn't answer this I don't mind, overall I love this channel and the debate it sparks and encourages. With that in mind, anyone else reading this please share your thoughts with me and respond. I'm here to test my notions . If nothing else. Inspired by this channel and it's content

Francis was concerned about whether his stamina would hold up for 10 rounds. He was thinking about rounds 8 and 9 in the 2nd. Now he knows he can do it, like in the gym, he'll go for it more in the early rounds. He's shown in mma a really good ability to learn and improve.

That last feature about Ngannou is what most people, from the street experts to the professional experts, don't understand: Ngannou is able to absorb information and adapt quickly. Notice how inept and hapless he was, in his first Stipe fight, with the elite wrestler and boxer using Ngannou power and size to get him to the mat easily... and, then, in the second fight, Ngannou TOOK Stipe down and got to the elite wrestler back so confidently? and then KOed him via punching a bit later? People see his muscles and think that's all Ngannou has. But inside, the dude is an extraordinary athletic; he may not be the most elite boxer or mma guy; but he learns the basics so quickly and, so, with his outlier PHYSICALITY, he could do many things (from one fight to the next) most other guys, even elite specialists, can't easily match, even given a much longer period of time to do it...

I'm in no way discrediting Ngannou but styles well and truly make fights. Wilder presents a completely different threat and he isn't the kind of guy who is intimidated by losing rounds, he will swing until the end. Beating Fury doesn't automatically mean you beat other top heavyweights. More than happy to watch Ngannou box again though.

This guy speaks pure facts. Tired of people making excuses. How can this man be compared to Ali or any of the greats. To compare to them you need to fight actual people who could fight back and are in the top ten. Not cherry picking fights. Boxing really needs to remember its a fight and not a pageant show. To claim to be the best, you need to fight the best only and show the world that you earned that title.

Agreed. I really hate these “but the scorecard” and punching stat arguments. There are no judges or scorecards in a fight these arguments are ridiculous. Too many people give way to these things rather than see the skill in the ring and how well fighters are giving and taking punishment. The difference is also that boxing is a combat sport, that also teaches self defense.

The Francis saga has taught me a powerful lesson: people's opinions can be incredibly fickle. It's essential not to be swayed by the ever-changing outside chatter. Don't give him ideas... if they start promoting gyms, even slightly, we might get used to the idea of supporting a gym, and once that becomes the norm... But I doubt it will happen. During Pride, there was a legit beef between 2 Brazilian gyms: Brazilian Top Team (BTT) and Chute Boxe. BTT had Belfort, Nogueira brothers, Arona etc, Chute Boxe had Wanderlei, Shogun etc. It was interesting to follow the rivalry but even that wasn't enough to make fans want to follow a gym and not a fighter. I think Dana knows this so he just wants to be WWE. WWE is so massive that even when the best wrestlers in the world were not part of the company, the people still saw WWE as the pinnacle of wrestling. UFC is already so big that fans won't take champs from other promotions seriously, which it's a shame.
@orcanimal

@@raul5081lol. That ain't gonna happen. How do I know? 'cause they already tried that and it failed miserably. The fact that you didn't even know that shows how bad it failed. People can root for teams when it's a team game. But fighting is a 1v1 sport. People won't just not root for teams, they won't even root for organizations. They'll only root for "players", i.e. fighters. That's why Dana is so dumb, 'cause he fails to understand that if he makes the fighters bigger, yeah he'll have to pay them more, but he'll also make the sport bigger as a result. Conor, like him or hate him, elevated the sport to a whole new public level that benefited not only the UFC but fighters that became popular after Conor. Every big start does the same. Dana is a scumbag who's been gifted wealth by the Fertitta brothers, plain and simple.

The Dana White stuff doesn't get talked about enough. Dana has been robbing the fighters for the last 20 years! The fact him personally has made 100×+ more money then any 1 fighter in ufc history is just insane. Boxing has the Ali act for a reason and its time MMA fighters like Conor and the other big names stop being selfish and start looking out for the future fighters.

A few years back I'd have loved to see Ngannou vs Whyte in a crossover 2 fight deal. One in MMA and one in boxing.. Although I believe each fighter would win in their respected sports Dillian Whyte at least has MMA experience so wouldn't have looked severely out of place in MMA

After Fury vs Ngannou, I'm 100% confident that Ngannou would beat Whyte in boxing too. In mma it would be a blood bath. Francis would ground & pound him. Dillian Whyte had a kickboxing match against some bum a long time ago. The lowest ranked heavyweight in the UFC would beat him. A guy like Ngannou, Stipe, Aspinall etc would send any heavyweight boxer to hospital. MMA >>>> boxing

Lets just remind people. White had no issues letting the irishman get a huge payday. But for some reason didnt even want francis to get in the ring. Francis did 100% better than McGregor did against Mayweather 100 times better. Mcgregor actually tried to talk down Francis' performance like he was big brothering him when the man just did way better than you did. But you got much more money for it. If francis had the full support of the ufc, his payday for this fight would have been HUGE. Now he has to get that huge pay-day on his own. And he will.

Question. Do we think Fury went into the Francis fight so heavy(278lbs) specifically to try and counter Francis(272lbs of pure muscle), or more looking ahead to what he planned to bring into the Usyk fight once he quickly dispatched "easy fight" Francis? Or do you just think Fury's gone fat and lazy, too used to the good life, other distractions and not focused or training on boxing like he should be? Of course, he'll never tell you himself so we have to speculate.

@@EternaITruths, you’ve just ignored the point I made, Aj is ducking Wilder after saying Wilder was never an elite fighter, Aj is among the heavyweights avoiding challenges, and taking the Usyk fight wasn’t seen as a big risk, Usyk had just come of an unimpressive performance to Chisora where many people felt Chisora won, most people didn’t give usyk a chance of beating Joshua, Aj took the fight thinking it was an easy win and it backfired then Aj had to take the rematch because it was his only chance of getting the belts back. And Aj having the best resume is a myth, the best fighter he ever beat was klitschko who fury also beat, and wilder is better than every other name on AJ’s resume and Fury beat him 3 times, Fury has a better resume based on quality, Aj just has quantity, there isn’t a single fighter on AJ’s resume that you wouldn’t expect Fury to beat but the reverse can’t be said because most people favor Wilder to chin Aj
