I love that click thud sound when it's seated just right.

I am looking at getting ngk ignition coils, and I replaced my spark plugs for my 2017 honda civic hatchback and the sound of the 🐦 chirping sounds relaxing 😌

@@gamercat7004 NGK has always been a very good source for ignition components.

Nice review, thanks for sharing! My one complaint about these wires is that the blue doesn't always match the best, but it is a nice color and most people won't care. I've always had good luck with NGK and Denso products. There's way too many crappy aftermarket parts these days, but NGK and Denso have both been consistently excellent in my experience and are my first picks when OEM parts aren't available for a reasonable price.

Very true. I don’t care about the color personally, I just want them to work and they do. Thanks for watching and commenting!!👍

Great video! NGK has always worked well for me. I will definitely use dielectric grease the next time I change plug wires - thanks for showing us why to use it.

Glad to do it!!!

Thanks for video. I have a 96 celica with the same motor with a misfire on cylinder 4. Was just trying to decide which wires to buy. I ordered the ngks! Wish me luck. 😂 Thanks!

I juat bought $15 wires off Amazon 😂. I only need to replace one so I didn't feel like spending $50

Well I’m not familiar with them, so is that a good or bad thing??🤔😀

Dielectric grease is not conductive and should not be used on the ignition terminals, only to seal the rubber boots!
@RealWorldGarage8 ай бұрын
Don’t know where you’re getting that from. It serves as a moisture barrier and prevents corrosion, it doesn’t hurt anything for it to be on the terminals.
@MrSFSTUDIOS8 ай бұрын
I got that from the NGK wire installation instructions printed on the interior of a brand new NGK spark-plug wire set. It says to coat the interior of the boots with dielectric grease being careful not to get any on the ignition terminals.

I may still have the box from this set. If I still have the instructions, I’ll have to take a look. I’ve been a mechanic for a long time and that’s never been a concern. It’s probably some engineer sitting behind a desk somewhere that’s never done anything, writing that stuff. No mechanic is going to carefully swab only the boot. We put a dab in the end and push the wires on.

@@RealWorldGarage Here's what it says on step 3 of the installation Instructions:Apply a light layer of dielectric grease to the inside of the spark plug boot (approximately 1/2" inside the base of the boot) only if required, where included with the new NGK Wire Set. Applying excessive amounts of dielectric grease could lead to cable failure. That's it word for word. The kit came with a small pouch of dielectric grease taped to the wires with a piece of yellow tape.

@MrSFSTUDIOS oh I believe you. I’m just saying I’ve been a mechanic for over 30yrs and never seen that anywhere, also never seen it damage a boot.
