What people should be commenting/asking is, what is Nvidia/vendors doing to prevent scalpers/bots from obtaining excessive amounts of cards at release? Why not have verified/loyal GeForce Accounts (ACTIVE with a minimum age of existence) having priority to purchase FIRST, and then set quantity limits per each account? I would assume that this action would help at least 50% of the gaming/enthusiast consumer population obtain a card at MSRP, that would otherwise be forced to wait or pay scalper prices.

The A.I technology is amazing and the pricing for my tier is ok, was certainly skipping this gen if prices were anything like the leaks but thankfully the cards are at least affordable. The issue is how badly will games not be optimised thanks to this new tech, game developers need to be pushed to properly optimise games or these great cards are being wasted, ive stopped buying unoptimised games but not enough people will do the same most likely, which is gonna suck moving forward

So what should they do, magically create 10-20% raw performance uplift while maintaining similar power draw and gpu size for similar prices and hope devs actually optimise games properly?. What they’re doing is giving more powerful cards with much better A.I technologies while reducing size and maintaining as much efficiency as they can. Do you think they can just keep throwing power and size at gpus, they can only improve size, power consumption and raw performance so much at a pace of every two or so years im sure

Yeah i dont like how they market it as if 5070 has the performance of 4090. Frame generation due to the workload of generating ai frames decreases the real frames by a small amount and adds ai frames to increase smoothness so even though the game may be smoother (and you get 2x or 3x the fps) you get worse input to frame latency since you get 1 real frame per 1-2 simulated frames which do not take your inputs into account and generated based on the previous real frame so its a net negative for any competitive title.
