So I remember seeing an alternative way to sort of prevent reuniting on Aranos: If after they reunite you fly back to Endako, the game remembers that you haven't rescued Clank yet, so he goes back to being kidnapped. You won't have USED clank in any ratchet segments, but he will have been on your back, so it really depends on the judgement of the individual.

I myself found an even different way. To quote my comment: I played everything casually until the very end where the door leads back to the hangar. I then decoy clipped into the right wall of the open door, walked a bit and clipped back into the hangar (to the right of the door). This way I just skipped the cutscene trigger where they reunite.

Honestly, I think it says something kind of amazing about how well these games were put together that it functioned as well as it did without getting a key component the game expects you to have. Especially the fact that if you deliberately avoid getting Clank in that second section, that it doesn't just assume you have him when Ratchet gets through since it's supposed to be impossible to not.

Another way of getting to the Snivelak boss if you already triggered him, you can actually use charge boots twice on the sort of giant circle arches to the right of the entrance, and with the right angles it'll bring you to the far end of the arena and not start the fight again. Pretty sure I did it packless from that as well

I remember attempting a clank-less run when I was young. I surprisingly got up to the reuniting at the end of planet Aranos revisit. although I don't remember the Tabora lava gap being that much of a problem. I swear the lava wasn't insta kill but a 2 bounce then sink lava maybe because it was the ps3 version? I remember using the clank-less levitator over and over because I found it so hilarious.

little things i noticed/did in my run of this: during the factory level with the rising water you can actually decoy glove through a wall near the pipes at the start of that segment, jump across into some out of bounds rising water and be raised straight up to the ending cutscene. for extra height, 4-5 decoys in a diamond shape can somehow give you and extra jump when you fall on them for a bit. this is more me venting but that god damn lava swingshot was aggravating because i didnt have savestates on the ps3 version, so i had to respawn, and fight the enemies...every..single ... time. when ratchet and clank were seperated on the prison i beat the second clank segment, got to the very end of ratchets segment and just clipped through the wall on the right as the re-uniting trigger is only at the doorway, it is a very small trigger.

I once attempted a clankless run on NG+, though it ended on Aranos because I didn't know about the glitch to skip the elevator. I used the first person wrench glitch to traverse areas intended for heli/thruster packs. Wrench glitching the long stretch of lava on Tabora was much akin to a TF2 jump map, pogo jumping off of the lava until I reached dry ground

I’ve had the Immortal Squirrel Glitch happen and as far as I can tell it happens if a Squirrel is killed right as it’s spawned in (the game spawns in a couple as a “Got Ya” moment to make getting the skill point for ensuring all ten tourists survive the tour more of a challenge). I can’t get it to happen with any consistency but as far as I’ve been able to see in the three hours of testing I did I think thats what triggers it. On a side note you can return to the path on Planet Smolg from the up high Platinum Bolt platform with the Charge Boots you’ll “Charge Glide” back down but you’ll have to aim it right.

i remember doing this casually, and seeing the levitator move without clank was easily the funniest part, i used a new game + and did the first person trick to skip areas and sequence break, loved doing all the glitches in the original 3 games on PS2, but never found anything interesting in Dreadlocked most broken was 2 and 3, played 1 the most as i had it for the longest, played all of them countless times and tried many speedrun strats and glitches for fun skipping clack was easily my favorite challenge

Great video as usual. You deserve massive props for beating the entire game Clankless and on NG, but especially getting through the cave in Tabora and the end of the flying lab in Aranos. I've done this challenge on NG+ since you can use the first person mode to basically climb walls (making it WAY easier), and those parts are so brutal even with that.

I've never had all that much trouble on Tabora since on Challenge Mode you keep the charge boots, which makes it a lot easier. But I admit I've never found a way through Aranos on my own.

At 15:20, I'm pretty sure you can wall jump between the walls of the elevator and reach the top this way. The Clank transition cutscene only triggers if you touch the base of the elevator, so as long as you do the wall jumping without touching it, you are good to go!

So you may not read this, but I really hope you get the recognition you deserve. For reference, I have been looking at Elden Ring challenge run videos lately, and someone did an alphabetical Elden Ring playthrough, and they referenced your dark souls playthrough, which led to me binging all your videos on this channel. And I pretty much never do this, but I went back and liked all of them. It's clear you have a real passion for this. Your editing is very good, it's clear that you have appropriate equipment so the audio is always clear, and you have a very pleasant speaking style, voice, and cadence. In other words, especially considering the impressiveness of what you're doing, it's clear to me you should be more popular than you are. It looks like you have been doing all this for awhile, and I think it speaks to the strength of your conviction that you've put such a sustained high level of effort for so long. I also appreciate that you're doing what you are passionate about, what you find fun rather than what would probably “go viral”, which I think speaks to your strength of character and thus makes all this much more sincere and fun to watch. I don't know if you've heard of ​ @Joel Haver but you give me a similar vibe to him, where both of you seem like very sweet, dedicated people, who have been making videos about the stuff you love for a long time. Hopefully similar to him, when he first made his animations, he blew up -very quickly-, so I hope it's a matter of getting the right attention, because both of you certainly deserve it. Truly sincere content is such a rarity these days. But even if that never happens, please know that you made a stranger very nostalgic and happy, even for a little bit, and to me that is truly precious. Thank you for all you do.

11:39 According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a lombax should be able to fly. They have nothing akin to wings to propel themselves off the ground. The lombax, of course, flies anyways. Because lombaxes don't care what humans - or little robot sidekicks for that matter - think is impossible.
