Ling has so much life in her eyes!! She truly looked grateful for the donations and didn't forget the ones who supported her 4 years ago, she's such a good kid!! She knows her parents work hard to earn money and doesn't take anything for granted, even the chicken which was a rare treat. A lot of people could learn from her character! A very deserving person. Thank you to all the donors for helping Ling and her family!!

The house is kept clean and tidy. A simple backyard for cooking, raising chickens, growing bananas and making rice wine. The grandma makes moonshine 'to sell to the Russians'. The father has been out fishing and the mother is doing odd jobs. An image of a family making ends meet dignifiedly. See how she goes about being a useful pair of hands in the home without having someone to tell her. The way she puts the cooked chicken to her nose and enjoys the aroma so appreciatively tells us that many of us take the basic meat we have for granted. The family only have chicken on special occasions. Troy is understandably excited meeting Ling whom she has not met since her 11th birthday. The mat where they sit to eat looks like the same one the last time Troy dropped by. Time flies. Ling has really grown up.

Never have I ever clicked onto a video so fast. It is truly so good to see Lingy again after all these years. I still can't believe how tall she is! Although we only get to see little glimpses of their lifes, seeing how far and how much Ling has grown up from the very first video to now has truly been a joy to watch, to which, none of it would have been possible without you Troy and the support of your community. Observing the house at the start one might think they are well off, but later in the video when learn they sell chickens for rice and only have chicken on special occasions puts things in perspective. Troy - At 3:15, you ask Linh is she still suffers from the spots on her skin. Looking back at your old Benh Thanh market video, it looks like Linh may have a skin fungus called tinea versicolor (TV) which causes the white spots on her skin. It's very easy to fix. Just go buy her Selsun Blue shampoo and have her rub it on the affected skin areas, then leave it on to soak in for 5 minutes while she takes a shower. They sell 2 shampoo versions (must have selenium sulfide in the ingredients): 1. Selsun Blue Medicated Red (1% selenium sulfide) = $6 USD - easy to find but weaker 2. Selsun Blue Extra Strength (2.5% selenium sulfide) = $19 USD - hard to find but stronger It's much better than the expensive prescription creams that her doctors may be prescribing and just temporarily keep the spots away and come right back after she stops using the topical creams. After 1 week - 1 month of applying the shampoo during a shower, all the spots will be gone - voila! It is worth a shot to try for $6 USD a bottle (130,000 VND)! There are lots of KZbin videos of people who have had their TV spots cured by a bottle of Selsun Blue shampoo.
