Here it is for Johnny and the rest of you. EA's put into the game what's called an anxiety feature. Even if the net is wide open and the goalie is nowhere in sight, you're player still "feels" nervous to shoot the puck. Poise affects this, meaning the older the player is, the less they are effected by the anxiety feature. I don't like it, but we have to live with it.

Its normal when the goalie is over 89 goal its like a wall bloking the net because if your close you will miss if you behind him it will maybe go in or not

If you looked at what they are releasing for NHL 13 for updates, you'd see that the player AI is getting a big upgrade, according to EA at least, but you won't know until you find out for sure in game. Goalies will no focus on players other than the puck carrier, and will cheat across the net if they feel that the player will pass the puck, same with computer forwards and defenseman, they'll go check the other player.

I think they have that "pressure" system implemented, but somehow they toned the frequency of misses up way too much.

My guess is that when our at a certain point in the game your playing the game puts a hex on you which doesn't allow you to score, this constantly happens to me when i'm sitting on the goal line!

that glitch is so irritating.... and one thing where you see that is when computer pulls goalie... just a moment ago i played and 3-2 lead... computer pulls goalie..i shot 7times to empty net... and missed... nearest was about 1meter away from goal and i shoot the puck in to my own end :D

It's not really a glitch. You just have to center you guy so he is looking at the goal. It shouldn't be like this but it is. You just have to adjust your gaming to it.
