It’s the 2023 playoffs, and Montreal miraculously slips into the playoffs as the 2nd wildcard team against the first place Maple Leafs. In the previous offseason, Evgenii Dadonov was traded for Montreal captain Shea Weber. Game 7 rolls around between the bitter rivals, and it’s a 0-0 game heading into overtime. In his first shift into the overtime frame, with a maniacal glint in his eye, Dadonov picks up the puck, crosses the blue line, and sends a floater toward Jack Campbell. The puck bounces once, twice, and finds its way past a dejected Campbell, costing the Leafs the game, and even more, their entire year. Johnny Superbman, watching this game with 5000 viewers on Twitch, pauses for a few moments. Then, a single, cursed sentence escapes his lips: “Dadonov…. That motherfuUGH!” as the screen fades to black. Superbman was never heard from again after this moment.
