Commentary has never been good since doc and eddy, Ray always said the things so hopefully two people without full time commentary roles will allow for more recorded lines the women has a deep voice so it’s really not bad I’m hopeful this year

EA told ya they are really great to work with and they get so much more time with them than some of the past casters, both due to availability but also as more recordings can be done without travel.

they need to bring realism back in....i usually cant stand women announcers but I agree shes not terrible....i remember back in 2015 I bought a PS4 because of the nbc presentation, we never had that in an nhl game before and now we are back to generic but just feels the worst its ever been presentation wise. Also these post goal cutsceens have to go, they are just awful.

Can we speed up gameplay already. Every single whistle stoppage we have to see cut scene after cut scene and the EA Sports logo. Just give us the option to speed up through this and play faster. Same with faceoffs. Just drop the puck already. It’s clear who makes these games was hired from other industries and never played an ea sports hockey game back when it was OP. These games are trash now

@@timdefrank3641 Good question. It's worth remembering that Intermissions, stoppages and penalties affect the length of the game. Also, at least in the past when I've timed "4 minute periods", they were like 4:12 in the first, 4:12 in the second and 4:57 in the third. This is several years ago and numbers are an approximation from memory. Point being, the period with the long minute, at least in the past was also longer in real life. I welcome you to watch the game with a stop-watch haha. 😄

What skill level this is on? Looks like the goalies are absolutely trash. What I like is the much faster tempo, so this actually looks more like NHL hockey. There definitely seems to be way less space and time compared to NHL 23, also there's a lot more action and traffic. Instead of just both players just holding the puck with very not much to to but to stay put and keep positions and wait for the offensive player to make a mistake and lose the puck. NHL 22 was a joke regarding poke checking = instant penanty 9/10. It wasn't as bad in 23 but it was boring that the gameplay was just holding L2 and running circles around the net, then just using the glitch goal cutting to the net with Close Quarters = 0 chance of not scoring.

This is Online Versus, so it's the default online skill level. Luckily EA has addressed that there will be some fixes to the goalies, among other things. Agree, at least when Eki and I played, the gameplay was pretty fast and versatile. Of course you never know when the game comes out and people figure out their meta.
