Presentation is a tough sell now days. I'm pro presentation but the game in modern times caters only to the online community who don't want cutscenes and want to get through games as quick as possible because that's where the money comes from

@@mattyork7625 I get what you mean, but that’s why you have the ability to skip cutscenes. 2K has an enormous online community, yet they found the time to actually incorporate 2 entirely different broadcast teams, along with the rest of their amazing in game presentation features.

6:20 The Ai is still very obviously in need of an upgrade. This specific moment where the fastest player in the world Connor McDavid curls off on a breakaway. There’s other things too I notice like when players just stop moving their feet with the puck in the neutral zone and almost pause which is evident at 6:39.

The thing with stopping feet movement on the border of neutral zone is a good thing. Real players often use this to create space from defender, defenseman has to keep up with them and then the player on the puck slows down which creates separation from the defender.

Honestly the AI isn't worth freaking out about. We all need to realize that the game can only look and feel good as long as the other human(s) play appropriately.. I would hate to see what the EA team could do if they put all their efforts in upgrading the ai. You can easily control it in a versus match as long as you know how to use the playbooks.

The crows sounds so much more immersed in the game which is awesome. They don't just randomly cheer; it seems much more purposeful. Especially when one team would line up a big check and miss, the crowd would gasp and it seems much better than NHL 23. I also think the announcing sounds much more like a tag team effort rather than james cybulski constantly talking and cutting over to his partner like one tiem all period. They seem to be going back and forth and the lady is filling the air time between the whistles which hopefully won't get annoying but also seems good.

The graphics are much improved imo. I've played the beta and it was the first obvious improvement to me. I thought it was gonna look exactly the same but the improvements to ice/lighting and models are noticably improved. It's hard to tell by these videos but you'll see it on your screen

There's only so much you can do in like 250 days. And it will always. "Look" the same. They didnt completely revamp the game. They made a few really cool new features to make the game be played differently.

@@johnkap5740 It allows you to choose which player you're passing to by clicking a button that appears over their head. I'm not sure about that feature I didn't see it mentioned but I hope they fixed it.

Can you ask them if there is an option to remove the on ice pressure display? We should be able to tell a team is tired by pinning them in their own zone for a period of time, all of that stuff on the ice looks goofy to me.

This looks terrible.. so choppy and they need to take all the crap off the ice and under the players .. i t looks like a arcade game and the hitting is ridiculous looking .. how does anyone look at this and say its an improvement.. goalie animations looks so off and the boards and goofy looking with only saying what the team is doing .

i hope they work on the crowd for home team goals, just the timing of when everyone jumps is key, and the post noise shouldn’t just be a ping, it should also make a deeper noise, like a “clunk” then a roar of fans. also a C-cut option for skating would be nice, like instead of coasting or full on skating, you can hold a button and your skater will make a more puck control skating animation with no lifting of the blades off the ice

I wish they would have gone with an all new commentary but James Cyulski’s commentary seems to be somewhat improved than it was in NHL 20. The color commentary is great and I really like the crowd noise upgrades!

1. Too much focus on Arcade-tackling. Very unrealistic. 2. Goalies diving WAY too much. That will be a big problem if not tuned correctly. 3. Even during full CPU - McDavid with a breakaway and didn’t even try to finish. 6:21 Positives - graphics look nice.

But that's why I'm most likely gone buy the game on black Friday or skip this year all together because I don't think this year is worth especially due to the fact the made no changes to offline modes

I want NHL to be good but quite frankly its been the same thing for like 8 years and only minor improvements since then. Game ships with bugs all the time. New glitches every year. They need to do better for me to pay full price.

Just got a great idea. What if you could do goalie mode. However once in the neutral zone you got control of the player and then when your team lost possession around the neutral zone in went back to goalie mode

i think this is the only sports sim game I've ever seen where the AI actually fight, not even in the NFL Madden series will you get that, and football is arguably the most common occurrence of it.
