Have you figured out a way to get them to save when you enter an actual game… every time I change them and save them they revert when I enter a game

I had to set the sliders 3 times, first in the games main settings, then again in Be A Pro and Franchise, annoying but it held and I found it holds any mid game tweaks that way as well

It’s ridiculous how shit this game is sometimes
@evanjacobwoodson41368 ай бұрын
Thanks for this. Let’s see if works. But my biggest problem is the DDA and the algorithm. Can play good, dominating the CPU, but when I score and I go up by 2 or more Goals, the bullshit starts: penalties here and there (almost of them RIDICULOUS). Vicious trippings by the cpu no called. Magnetized puck who goes always to cpu. It’s frustrating and that’s the goal of the Game: make the user frustrated. All EA sports Games are ridiculous cheater, but NHL is the worst one BY FAR.

What are your settings for franchise mode?
@Hockiwi10 ай бұрын
To be completely honest I haven't touched franchise yet this year, but I usually run 5-8min periods with most settings the same as be a pro (screenshots are on twitter, a link is in the video description) but I will add some penalty scaling maybe 1-2/6, with injuries off so I can sim through most of the season without 'fixing' the line up all the time. I'm more of GM when playing franchise, I like to build and then watch how they do simming most of the season and watching the rivalry matches plus playoffs (if we make it lol)

What period length should I use for a play now game?
@Hockiwi6 ай бұрын
I like to play the full 20min in be a pro but only 4-8min in franchise, really it just comes down to how long do you want to spend playing each game, I'll lower the penalty and injury sliders by 5-10 plus increase the CPU difficulty adjustment slider to 2-4/6 for the longer games
@Usernamless6 ай бұрын
@@Hockiwi one more question what sliders should I change to get realistic scoring on 20 minute periods in cpu vs cpu games? I did one cpu vs cpu game on superstar with 20 minute periods and the score was 2-7 and each team had 70 shots
@Hockiwi6 ай бұрын
Some games will blowout regardless of the sliders, key is small tweaks here and there plus let a few games play out before making too many changes as it could just be that one game. Small changes to things like shot power/accuracy, goalie reactions/screen persistence and player attribute effects can make a big difference. The shots taken have more to do with player shoot/pass tendencies, you'll need to edit players to change that.

So…I already played a full season under semi pro conditions and dominated. Ideally I want to jump to pro level but with low shot totals, low scoring, and lots of defensive. Any suggestions?
@Hockiwi Жыл бұрын
With these sliders on Allstar I get an average of 40-50 shots combined, but there are a few things you could try, I would start with Attribute Effects at 10/10, Fatigue Effect at 80, Recovery at 35, Goalie Save & Cross Crease Reaction at 85, Deflection Reaction at 75, Aggression at 55, AI Learning at 2/6, CPU Strategy Adjustment 1/6 and if you want to stay on semi-pro you can use the CPU Difficulty Adjustment to make small changes to the difficulty, I often use the difficulty adjustment slider when I want the game to be harder but don't want to jump straight up to the next level, it also gives you a way of increasing the difficulty above Superstar which i tend to use in the playoffs

Try increasing goalie reaction times and lower the screen persistence, plus increase fatigue impact and lower fatigue recovery, there is also the cpu adjustment and passing sliders

wayyy too tough to receive passes lmfao. i shouldn’t be bobbling damn near every pass.
@Hockiwi2 ай бұрын
With the default sliders passing is basically automatic, these sliders are much harder, try holding LT/L2 as the puck gets to the player they will square up to the puck, if you are playing Be A Pro your player will get better at receiving the pass the more you do this, also don't touch the right stick just let the animation grab the puck.

CPU AI set to 0/6? why?
@Hockiwi Жыл бұрын
CPU AI? did you mean the CPU Difficulty Adjustment? if so that slider is for incremental changes to the games difficulty without changing up from pro to allstar or semipro to pro ie allstar with CPU adjustment at 6/6 is almost as hard as superstar at 0/6

@@Hockiwi got it yes thank you. I've been playing on pro with some sliders on, need it a little more challenging, so playing around with CPU difficulty adjustment.

Yea, I ended up tweaking the majority of sliders bit by bit over the year, back skating, goalies and penalties got the most adjustment through the year I'm currently fine tuning the sliders for NHL 25 which I will upload later this week and I will be posting an updated version of the sliders I'm using at the end of each 'be a pro' season (aiming to get through a season per month)
