The “why don’t you go make a better X, Y, Z” argument is stupid for one reason and one reason alone: Resources. EA has ALL the capability in the world to make a top-class experience for us hockey fans, but like they always do, they salivate for our hard-earned dollars and only care about their money pig which is HUT. Until we stand up and decide to not buy this shit product, it will continue. Look at how effective boycotts can be. Look at the Bud Light fiasco and see how their market share dropped horrifically after the backlash. So before you speak, consider educating yourself to understanding simple business, and quit being an EA bootlicker.

I want be a pro to be more realistic when it comes to growing into the player. Something I would LOVE is to play in the AHL and for the calder cup. I remember back in old gen games, you would be sent down to the minors as a punishment. And then whenever I would score and play well, I would get called up. I want the option to play in the minors for a year. Also, if you aren't on the top line, it's because you aren't good enough is BS. I want to fill a hole on the team. I don't always want to be the "star". Plenty of good, respectable players that are 3rd liners.

For the entire game, go back to the gameplay of 23, they messed up the button layout and function in 24. For NHL Be A Pro, start at 16, first year of junior, and have more starting options, like colleges and the usndp, add more customization options, and make it feel more real, if you don’t meet the standard, you get sent back down, make it harder to be a captain and bring back the ability to be an alternate captain, and make it more accessible, like turning down coach and teammate challenges, and turning down bad contracts or negotiating for more money, all the way up to a certain date where deals can’t be signed and then really get a feel for the negotiations and thoughts of players and staff

ive been playing WoC since 20 and I want more customizable options for uniforms in the game especially for the clubs. i also want a color code system for picking your teams colors. i've noticed the preset color codes for NHL teams are not accurate (i.e., flyers burnt orange, mighty ducks old school colors). more custom logos would be nice, more vintage logos (i.e., robo penguin, pooh bear for the bruins) and diagonal city text like the rangers but for all cities. i also want them to integrate college into the game. for be a pro i would like to be able to play in the NCAA with schools like BU/BC, UND, Michigan, Denver, etc. i want more uniform customizations for current teams. there are some uniforms left out like the sabres black and red sets from the 90s and 2000s finally, you pretty much covered it in the video so i agree with your wish list. EDIT: totally forgot but i want new commentators. james cybulski feels like they wanted to recreate doc emerick. i play the game on mute exclusively now. also need a new sim engine. the sim engine is horrible. a team that improves on their needs shouldn't regress in sim franchises. especially when your team has great line or D pairing chemistry

It would be nice if they added the ability in Franchise mode to have more than one expansion team. At the beginning of the mode you should be able to set when they come in. Ex: in year 5 an expansion team comes in, in year 8 another and so on.

The NHL game franchise has such a potential if EA would just try to put some effort in making the game. I would love international events and all-star game and skills in be a pro. Also they could do something like adding an option in the offseason to participate in something like a 3v3 tournament where all the nhl stars team up in threes and take on each other.I would also love to bring back a possibility to have a be a pro carreer for players that are already in the NHL or the other legues.

Be and Pro Play for your country in the IIHF World Championships (played in May) if you are eliminated in the playoffs or do not advance to the playoffs, also play for your country in the IIHF Juniors. The possibility to play the entire season (2023-24 for NHL 25) before the draft in a European league or a lower Canadian American league. Negotiate the contract (with long negotiations, the possibility to play in the European league for attributes). In case of injury, write what kind of injury it is and how long the player will be out of matches. For fouls, a high stick, a blow to the face, etc... (blood) referees video review. Coaching challenge (offsides, defending the goalkeeper, high stick) Classic - score board, presentation of goalkeepers, statistics, it's more real. Goal celebrations, more animations, (I personally don't like NHL24 celebrations, but that's my opinion) Running out of goalkeepers, catching pucks at the goal line and passing. One thing I’d like to see at some point (if not NHL 25 then definitely 26) is the ability to have a Be A Pro player on a classic player roster. My home team is the Vancouver Canucks and I always wanted to have a career mode set in the 1993-94 season when Trevor Linden captained us to the Stanley Cup Finals! Also I agree with the different TV networks aspect. Don’t get me wrong, I love James Cybulski as the EA Sports commentator, but I think more commentators should be added. Perhaps John Shorthouse or Chris Cuthbert or even my personal all time favourite, Jim Hughson? Heck, going back to what I was talking about having a career in a classic roster, maybe bring back some older commentators who were around then and have them record their voices for those eras! All in all, I just want EA to make ACTUAL improvements to make the playing experience a lot more IMMERSIVE, where you feel like you’re actually watching your player on TV.

I’d like the ability to have GM mode but in other leagues (currently in the game). GM-ing a European team would create new challenges such as losing top players to the NHL. Have some players from the NHL be willing to come to Europe, but in order to have that occur overpaying would occur. To avoid simply overpaying for a roster maybe keep a salary cap or have a profit level a GM needs to maintain. CHL & ECHL could see focus be placed on development. Players and coaches would constantly turnover based on stats (age in the CHL). Implementing the CHL rules could create interesting team building strategies. Revamp the potential system. If I dominate with a young late rounder who currently has AHL Top 6, the player won’t develop as well as a floundering ‘Elite’ prospect. With team builder being used in CFB 25, having the ability to upload goalie mask designs. I understand moderation would be problematic thus why it’s at the bottom of the list.

An underrated feature the pretty much every other sports game out has, but NHL doesn't, is being able to check other teams results/schedules in franchise/season. It isn't a huge deal most of the time, but knowing who everyone's playing in a tight playoff race down the stretch would be really nice. Having ai vs ai games sim in the background with score updates a la FIFA would be huge for immersion too, but isnt necessary. All the data is tracked for player and team stats, so why it is only shown in a tiny corner for a day on the menu, or in the buggy news tab is beyond me. Would be an easy feature to implement too.

EA does a thing with their soccer games where they will have two teams of amateur or even lower level pros play in a match wearing motion capture tech. They'll play games over some days then use all of the movements for more realism. Everything from bench animations, idle animations, you name it. Hopefully 2K sees value in a hockey game because they're usually really could push EA

They'll most likely never have any of the real broadcast packages because of licensing agreements. and I didn't even like it when they had NBC, because in reality, why would NBC cover junior hockey or the American Hockey League? But what I want to see improved is not only a goalie mask creator, but also an overhaul to create-a-team in general, with more options for arenas, logos, uniforms, mascots... because having the same basic logos year in and year out doesn't really add anything, and if they can bring in more of the old vintage logos to use in create a team because if I want to recreate the 90's Winnipeg look, I want to be able to use the 90's logo. The current create a team only has so many possible combinations for mascots that not all of them would fit the custom created team. and also if you want to create a minor league team, have the option to make a smaller minor league rink.

Nhl 25 needs to have warmups like coming out the tunnel shooting pucks etc, I feel like they need to add back full junior season and even a chance to play in world Juniors in be a pro to raise draft stock. They need to make EASHL (World of Chel) the main competitive mode. The game of hockey as a whole is a TEAM sport. They should have 6v6 pro team brackets that faceoff against eachother like in MOBA world championships (look at how enjoyable it is to watch League of Legends tournaments) people will have favourite pro players to watch, there would be real world team chemistry and plays that need to be executed by multiple players at once like in real life, pro players can change pro teams simulating real world trades, etc. Watching one person control a whole team is just not enjoyable to watch IMO.

I'm going to say the same thing I've been growing more and more passionate towards, my only wishlist item for NHL 25 is a cancelled game and No. More. Yearly. Releases. Every two or three year dev cycles is fine, we should all be right about done with getting raked over the coals financially for half baked crap that is still buggy and unpolished by the time the games life cycle is done less than a year after release.
