Crosby's career is almost over, as much as I hate the team, he brought them 3 cups he has nothing left to accomplish or prove , and the team isnt going back to cup contention before he retires anyway, so they might as well keep him there.

One clause that should be included in future contracts is for the amount of wages that player receives in one season be determined by how much they meet/fail to meet expectations. Marner just came off the back of having a worse season than the last 2x with 85 points, 14 less than last season and had a DISMAL run in the playoffs. No doubt his 11m-12m a season contract is no justification at all. It's maybe 8 and that's being generous.

Yes he’s terrible in the playoffs. But no. Marner was on pace for 100 points this regular season. He doesn’t deserve that much money for sure I agree but saying he only had 85 points is missing the fact that he also missed 13 games. He’s been on pace for 100 points for 4 seasons straight. Injuries happen.

Probably shouldnt send them to any Canadian team if thats the case. Also, Crosby has 3 cups, and Stamkos has 2, so the cup isnt very elusive to them either
