@@retrogeko7955 honestly I have been a sens fan since they rejoined the league Oilers before that, but ya I have seen the oilers make two finals and the sens 1 final since 92 and no wins, but that aside a goalie change will not save this team I have been positive through out the teardown in 2018 but when is this so called run of unparalleled success, I will tell you it's gone up in smoke with drafting and overpaying players, Colin white and Tomas chabot are prime examples, yes I know that was the old regime/owner, but Melnyk would not have accepted the pinto suspension or the garbage crybaby Vegas complaints when they're won a cup anyway, Melnyk would have sued the league before giving up a first round pick

Grats for the kid being drafted but we need more offense, If the sens don't make the playoffs this season which currently with the lineup including Linus I can't see it happening the sens are goalie wreckers, it's going to be a new rebuild, to many are on expiring contracts and Brady will want a trade to a contender next summer since his ahole brother stated he will win a cup soon lol, well. We all know now Canadian teams are not allowed to win cups any longer

Lots of teams drafted guys ahead of where they were projected, who's to say another team wouldn't have done the same with Carter?

@DarthChewie well if I was gm I trade down and get best available ~12 because I would consider the fact that I could get a decent RHD via trade or draft in the second round.

@@back2byte Ya, fair enough. If a GM just wanted a RHD, and not specifically Yakemchuk, then that could be a solid move. Just remember that the odds of a 1st round pick playing 100+ games in the NHL are around 75% compared to ~35% for a 2nd round pick.
