I think avs should lose on Sunday, just rest our best. Because if we win Sunday we will be waiting over a week until we play next. I see the wild making it a game 6 or even a game 7 with Vegas. And from what I have seen if the avs sit out that long they come back and lose and it takes them a few games to regain strength.

Starting to look like Binnington is a one year wonder. He was outplayed last season by Allen and in the bubble as well. His rebound control in this game was TERRIBLE and the Blues need some of that magic from a couple of years ago from him. It doesn't seem like he is capable of that anymore albeit against a deep team like the Avs. Its no surprise at all that Avs are up 3-0

Is no one going to talk about how trash these officials are? You know its bad when the head coach has to say something about it publicly. Surprised he didn't get fined for it. Plus its not a fair trade to have Kadri serve 8 games when our best defenseman is out. They need to change the rules to something a little more fair. If a top player is knocked out with a head hunting hit, the team should be able to pick a player on the opposing team in the same position to sit until the injured player returns(I would choose Makar). That would be a real penalty for head hunting and would stop players like Wilson and Kadri from trying to knock players out. Thoughts?

Yeah ive often though that is a pretty good idea, but hard to measure impact player. BTW Makar much better than any defenseman at St Louis. Impact equal? More like O' Reilly.

@@jimmiller5110 You don't need to measure impact. Its supposed to be a penalty, so they should be able to pick a player on the same line or lower imo. Since Faulk is on the first line of D-men, they should be able to choose any D-men on COL to sit. Wouldn't that be fair?

Please dont see this as attacking you, but that is the dumbest idea I've heard. The logistics alone would be a nightmare. 1. You would be punishing a player that had nothing to do with the dirty play (NHLPA would have a field day with this). 2. The matter of pay would be a huge issue. Are you not going to pay the person who would have to sit out? The teams definitely wouldnt want to pay a player who is not playing, and then the player would rightfully be pissed that they are not getting paid for something they didnt do. 3. Would we see teams holding players back from returning from injury just to keep the other teams player off the ice? How would this apply in the regular season once you move onto the next team/game? I'd be more than fine with heavier suspensions and loss of draft picks. 1st offense 41 game ban, 2nd+ offense is a 82 game ban.
