Isn't it crazy. He's amazing during the regular season and somehow takes it to a whole new level in the playoffs. I'd love to see him get 2pts/game from here on out. So will his CONTRACT when his 7 year $44million contract expires in two years. Still can’t believe he only makes 6.4mill a year. Top 2 player in the world and makes 3mill less then Highest paid player on AVS Mikko. He never has complained or resented his contract. He likes knowing his contract, has enabled the team to keep crucial players, and continue to be Cup contenders for years to come. Ultimate team guy. This adds to his greatness as a player.

@@srinathganapathy289 goalies are last to be thanked and first to be flamed. It's easy to blame them for goals against, and some people don't seem to realize goalies literally can't win the game themselves. It might not be fair, but goalies will always get flamed in the playoffs.

They're definitely rabid supporters, but if you hear a whole game you'll also hear how quickly they devolve into chanting in full unison that the other team sucks. The 3-note 'clap clap clap' that's usually the PA system's cue for "Let's go Avs' (this chant-encourager seems to be in the rotation for most NHL teams, especially those with one-syllable names/nicknames [Wings, Preds, Knights, etc]) frequently turns into either "[two-syllable opponent]s Suck!" or "[one-syllable opponent] You Suck!". I still root for them, but back when I went to games in person it was one of the few reasons I only brought the kids a few times. DU Pioneers were (and I presume still are) a pretty good alternative for family outings.

Lol! Hardest worker? We’re missing ours as well (Calvert) also Missing (AlternateCaptain) and heart of our D Erik Johnson, also are other Young Stud DMAN (Byram). Plus we’ve been without our proven backup almost all year (Francouz) just rotating Goalies. St Louis hasn’t changed as much as the AVS have improved. Having the player’s you mention back in the Blues lineup doesn’t matter ONE BIT! The Blues problems have nothing to do with missing those players. The Blues just like almost every other team we face, simply don’t have the SPEED, SKILL, and the DEPTH the AVS have. It’s almost unfair to play against the AVS.

Avs got complacent in the second period, and St. Louis came back on us as a result. Don't get me wrong, the Blues played a good game, but the Avs need to make sure they play a full 60 minutes every game. We got it done, which is what matters in the end. That Kadri penalty was completely inexcusable as well. No reason at all for making that hit. On the bright side, MacKinnon with a hat trick doing what he does best, Donskoi with a 3 point game, and Grubauer really stepping up when we need him! I like a lot of what I'm seeing

What's the "over/under" on penalty minutes in Game 3? I'd put it at 100, and that might not be high enough. When you consider that it's a year where more bad blood than usual has been stirred up because of the schedule, the desperate situation for the Blues and the Kadri play, it all points to "bloodbath" in Game 3, especially if the score gets out of hand late.

St. Louis isn't what they were two years ago, and Colorado is . . . impressive. With Petrangelo gone, Bouwmeester gone, Steen gone, Perron out, Dunn out, and Taraschenko held together with duct tape, I don't think they're going beyond this series. Their physical style of play, was so fun to watch in 2019; until the injury bill came due. At the very least, Ryan O'Reilly has to play as he did in 2019. He's getting scorched in this series.

And the NHL announced today that Kadri was suspended 8 games for his head-check, and must pay his 5,000 fine directly to Tom Wilson of the Capitals, who wasn't suspended at all for slamming a helmet-less Artemi Panarin to the ice twice in four seconds a few weeks ago, ending Panarin's season. The player safety committee is still reviewing whether Kadri must send Wilson a gift basket each Christmas, and for how long.
