I'm so glad that the Canadiens have managed to win at least one game. Tampa has been on a different level for most of the series but the Canadiens fought for and earned their place in the finals. This is a team worth being proud of. It's also nice to know that my 1998 Red Wings are still the last team to sweep another team in the Stanley Cup Finals :) Congrats on the win Habs fans!

Thanks! I've been saying these whole playoffs that this Tampa Bay Lightning team is the best NHL team since the 2002 Wings. That team was arguably the best team of all time. They had the Dominator, who's arguably the best goalie of all time, Stevie Y, Shanahan, the Russian 5, the 2nd best defencemen of all time (Lidstrom), Chelios, Robitaille, Hull, a young Pavel Datsyuk, and great depth pieces like Maltby and Draper and so much more. It was probably a blast to watch Hockey during those years! I was too young to watch Hockey back then and I know a lot of those 9 Hall of Famers were out of their primes in '02 but it still fascinates me to think about how good they were!

@@SamGautreau7 I have many fond memories of staying up late on school nights to watch playoff games in the 90's. One of my fondest memories was watching the huge Red Wings vs. Avalanche team brawl. I've said it before, Montreal has what it takes to dominate Tampa, and this game is proof positive. As for Anderson, he shows up to win every game, and does his magic win or lose as does Suzuki. The Achilles heel of Montreal in this series has been their confidence coming out of the gate, and again tonight, they played with the jitters for the first 8 plus minutes of the game. They were saved by the goal posts several times, but that's part of the game. Now, if they can figure out how to fire up the troops with total confidence and composure from the first drop of the puck, the sky is the limit. A lot of Montreal players stepped up their game tonight as well and that's what it takes, a team effort.Great game Habs. Rest up and come out pounding in game 5.

I was in the building the first time they were ever swept on home ice. I was watching in 89, the first time they lost the cup on home ice. Today, I am just happy they won and that they showed a lot of heart. Win or loose the next game, I can be proud of what they have accomplished. Cheers.

I can’t lie, the bolts should’ve won, they hit like 3 post or something crazy like that! 1 with like 2 minutes left, they got unlucky but the habs fought hard and were a dominant physical team, josh Anderson is incredible, Carey price couldn’t have clutched it more, what a game! To game 5 we go!

Canadians should have challenged that second Lightning goal - the guy who scored was offside - his right skate was in the air, not on the ice.
@allisonobrien83072 жыл бұрын
they changed the offside ruling where the blue line is 3D. it is no longer required to have a skate physically on the blue line.

Josh Anderson looked like a real Captain in this game. I understand how maybe his teammates feel differently, but this isn't the first time Weber has put his team in a real tough spot. But I guess it's easier for me to see his flaws than his qualities.

You'd think that in playoff finals, in a 3-0 series, with game tied and towards the end of 3rd period thar someone getting a 2+2 penalty(to the captain none the less) would be big enough to be shown in the higlights

You don't deserve to win the game if you start OT with a 3 minute powerplay and fail to finish them off... On another note, the other player of this game was Carey Price's goal posts... including that one late in the third!

Carey Price won this game for the Habs....he's the biggest reason they're in the final, his timely saves have kept them in each game and allowed his team to have a chance to win. Without him they'd have been long gone in the playoffs.

Serge being down 0-3 in the Final is nothing like being down 3-1 in the first round. Only the 42 Leafs ever came back 0-3 in the Final, that's 80 years of playoff hockey. The Habs need Price to play flawless (2 goals max), score first, keep hitting Tampa, and continue to dominate the PK to force a game 6.

While Montreal deserves respect for their heart, I still don't see how Tampa would allow reverse sweep like Sharks did in 2014 with Kings. I understand that anything can happen in playoffs and nothing is over until it's over and hockey can be very unpredictable at times. But I also didn't expect Tampa's sweep in finals. That would be just too good. Montreal won this game at home, with huge fan support. Let's see how Tampa responds on their home ice. I anticipate one pissed off Tampa Bay team hitting the ice. Remember, in entire history of SC playoffs only four teams accomplished the reverse sweep. It is extremely difficult to do and Tampa is just too good to fall 4 games in a row.
