@2:45 I agree with Luongo. If you run into the goaltender which interferes with their ability to make plays, you get goaltender interference. In this case, his pad is behind the puck stopping it from going in and somebody pushes his leg into the net - that is essentially the same thing, you took away his ability to make a play.

@@BUG-Ryman Whether or not that's the case, Jokinen is still entitled to that space. It's far away from the blue paint- Jussi is providing a perfectly legal screen. Around 3:24, you even see him looking to make sure he's above the crease before he slides across. Brodeur, by coming out as far as he did, still is the one who initiated the contact. Also, Tripp Tracy, who was a goalie, said Brodeur was looking for it.

I’m a centermen at a high level let. Me tell you when your goalie is frustrated you know you will be dragged in somehow! I’m so frustrated that my team got nocked out in round 3 of the playoffs we did so good that season I scored 39 goals in the regular season and 17 in the playoffs! One a dude pocked our goalie’s glove when it was covered and my teammate who is a defender dropped the gloves and it was a pretty good scrap I loved watching it! LOL! I understand frustration in that game when it actually means a lot at such a high level!

If you ask me, I think it's beyond ridiculous that the fastest game's top league is still being reffed by humans in skates in 2023. Put one "ref" on the ice just for health reasons, 2-3guys with skates but OUTSIDE of the rink to stop fights if there's one....and the rest should be done by one or 2people OUTSIDE of the rink who should have the ability to call retroactively if he notices foul play on replays. I mean f^#& me, 80years ago when the Bruins called the cops on the Habs, they had to run into the office upstairs, call the telephonist and ask for the call to be routed to the police. Today we all have smartphones, players have fucking IPads on the bench, we evolved! But the fuckin reffing is the same as it was then 😂

Players, coaches, gm's...everyone gets fired if they mess up. Refs and DOPS mess up twice a week 😅 ofc they don't really mess up, it always goes a certain way that's quite easy to predict sadly

Ok the tukka Rask thing was a good call they don't stop play when a forward or defenseman break a stick or have an equipment issue so they should not call it if a goalie has an equipment issue. The only time they should blow the whistle is if his helmet comes off

You know, a lot of these I understand why they were angry. Whether they had a reason or not, I get it. But the two on Lundqvist, I just don't get. His own player takes him out (he wasn't push in anyway whatsoever). Lundqvist goes down and pops right back up so clearly not injured (continues to rant and rave and flips his net...also showing he's not injured). The second one looked like he was going to hold on to it (he held it a long time if he was going to drop it) so the ref blows the whistle (I would have too). I mean he is still holding the puck after the ref blows the whistle.

Not valid. The only equipment issue that warrants a stoppage of play is a loss of the mask. If he wouldn't have been a baby about it he easily could have made the save. It's not that hard to move without a blade.
